Great win for us against Boreham Wood, second half we were excellent.

14th on 46 points with 10 games to go is good enough for me after last season and our slow start to this season.

Danny Searle starting to look good and hopefully he can push us on next season

Do refs still get paid if they get there and the pitch is no good? Doubt it's in their interest to be calling matches off.

Exactly - they aren't going to get paid twice. It's not in the ref's interest to call it off, so they're only going to do it if they have genuine concerns. All we ever hear is the clubs moaning that they "thought it was playable" - never a report from the ref saying "they had a sand pit on the half-way line".

Today was down to the ref. I saw the pitch and it was playable. Both managers in the bar said the game should have gone ahead. Ref was scared of the forecast of rain.

Doesn't take away from the fact we're an absolute shambles off the pitch at the moment.

I'm mainly on about the Fylde game - but it's also impossible to tell whether a wet pitch is playable without walking on it. I'm not sure any ref is 'scared' to let a game go ahead, but he probably knew that even the slightest downpour would lead to it being called off. In that case, he'd be the one having to explain himself.

Well there's only 2 potential Tuesdays before the end of the season.
24th March and 21st April, the week before the last game of the season.
IF we progress on Saturday that means 2 more midweek games with no where to put them!
Welcome to the National League.

Completely agree, 2 massive wins in 4 days which should (barring a disaster) see us safe. Huge credit to Danny and the team, particularly with our 2 best players out at the moment (Mo and Kinsella).
We’ve already got more points this season than we did last.

Don't be silly, there's 4 Thursdays in that period. Oh you think I'm joking, huh? In 2013 they made us play 12 games in 27 days in April- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Stop complaining and get on with it. :ds:

Two dreadful Maidenhead home performances in four days have put us in trouble. Absolutely dreadful defending for all the goals. That's the first time since promotion that the fans have really turned on the team. Squad has looked way off NL standard last two games and new signings needed pretty urgently.
Absolutely shocking.
We are down if we continue to play like this.
Genuinely angry at the lack of fight last night.
Ebbsfleet are poor yet at times looked great because we allowed them to find space and pass and move.
Bloody Ebbsfleet!!!!!

No, don’t want that now you’re not going down, love my trips to the centre of culture that is Wrexham.

I just hope he does start getting credit, the support doesn't seem to have warmed to him (I accept its been a tough watch at times) but after last years mess staying up would be an achievement and we can move forwards from there.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Great result last night ,defied the odds against a tough side. We needed to play at our best to pull it off. Boreham will be in playoffs, no trouble, and could well get through to Wembley; they are a bit sluggish in centre defence, but look lethal in attack. Shots look well safe now, and can relax and play a bit of football. It’s been a hard learning curve for Danny Searle, but he now looks to be getting it right. Onwards and upwards.

Despite you giving us a 15 point head start after August, you’re probably going to finish ahead of us now. Basically level if you take in to account the standard home win at the Wreck.

Absolute DO AS YOU LIKEYS.

It will be Woking’s fault if the barrier breaks again though. Despite the fact no other fans have ever broken the barrier in the last 100 years.

Yeah, right, I wish. I passed my driving test in the same year that England won the World Cup, which might give you an ideal how wrong you can be.
I must admit that I can be a stroppy old git,but that’s an age thing. I was there, somewhere out of shot, with the more “sedate” clientele. Anyway, just look at that “barrier” , more plastic than Sutton’s pitch...

That's not a barrier collapse- shoulda been at The Shay when we played Huddersfield (there's a PROPER derby match!!!) one Boxing Day. I thought a bomb must have gone off! It looked like an explosion, HUNDREDS of away fans fell onto the speedway track, how nobody was killed or broke their necks I'll never know. Neither do I know how we got away with it, the club blamed the fans, said they'd deliberately pushed it over which, having seen it all, I knew was nonsense. The fans had just spilled forward, as they do in a packed stand, when their team broke away and had a near miss, and the wholly inadequate wooden fencing gave way. Yeah, we were more Tin Pot IN the League than we've ever been OUT of it. :ds:
