New 6 year TV deal for the FA cup starting 18-19 has been announced, worth £820m from global TV companies. Here in Blighty, the FA Cup will remain on BBC and BT sport. The FA say they will invest more in "grassroots pitches, facilities and participation programmes".

Makes me laugh when they start talking about more investment in grassroots football as we all know it is utter bullshit. They will probably build an all weather pitch somewhere in London and pocket the rest of the money

Its always been the politically correct thing to say, about investing in grassroots, but how about upping the prize money? At all levels. When was the last time the prize money went up - I'm going to say it hasn't in 10 years(?)
