2019 Results are out:

https://www.againstleague3.co.uk/2020/02/02/2019-ownership-survey-full-results/

Where League 2 is concerned Port Vale's new owners are the best in the league (4th in the country) whereas Oldham and Macclesfield probably unsurprisingly the worst.

Vale and Blackpool following take over's have gone from low ratings to the top end. Andy Holt of Accrington not surprisingly the best overall.

Pleased for Carol and Kevin, they have been outstanding since coming in to revitalise the club and after paying probably 3 times its true worth to save the club from Smurf deserve all the love from the fans.

Team is finally on the up after 3 awful years of relegation and 2 x battles to preserve our 101 year stay in the EFL. Ground is slowly improving and of course the Robbie Williams concert and getting him back involved in following the club again is a positive.

Done some subtle little things, Stoke giving out free shirts to all the City's school kids which Vale have offered to swap for a free Vale one, setting up a proper professional board and changing the whole feel of the club, proper catering from the Vale players after eating left over pies under the previous regime!

Interestingly no other League Two owner features in the top 10!

it’s funny because in reality I think you will struggle to find a better overall owner than John Radford in the EFL but obviously being shite this season on the pitch puts a unfair damper on the overall rating (which is still very high 86.25)

Seeing Tranmere and Vale is a tad funny due to how short they have been in place, I imagine it’s down to the honeymoon period, and a refreshing change to previous knobheads who owned them but they are still in a need to prove themselves situation, early signs are good :)

As with last time, the number of respondents should really be a guide to the strength of feeling. Over 10% of all the respondents were Chesterfield fans taking the survey to vent their displeasure at their owners. Over half of all respondents were fans of nine clubs and the top three of those count for well over a quarter.

Chesterfield, Oldham, Charlton, Carlisle, Orient, Ipswich, Blackpool, Southend, and to a lesser extent, Vale fans (in order of number of respondents) clearly had things they wanted to say. Below this there's probably only a handful of clubs whos fans responded in great enough numbers and with strong enough opinions to read into.

83 Vale fans responding to give their owners a high rating is probably evidence of goodwill towards those owners, but 30 Swindon fans responding to give their owner a fairly middling score probably doesn't mean anything. Same goes for the 12 Mansfield fans who gave Radford a reasonably high but not outstanding score; and what conclusions could possibly be drawn from the fact that a single FGR fan took the survey to give Dale Vince a score of 40%?

The extent to which Macclesfield fans dislike their owner is well known, but only seven responded to the survey to tell us that so it's hardly strong evidence... you can probably find more than seven people disparaging the owner just by looking on their forum. Similar with FGR, this forum let alone their own probably carries more evidence of what FGR fans think of their owner than the survey does.

The four highest respondents, Chesterfield, Oldham, Charlton and Carlisle all were deeply dissatisfied with their owners, and the issues are well documented. Orient and Blackpool have both recently emerged from poor ownership and ranked very low on previous surveys so perhaps fans of those two clubs, being aware of the survey from previous years wanted to take it again to show how things have changed. Both have over a hundred respondents and give high ratings to their owners.

Ipswich and Southend baffle me; 121 Ipswich fans and 99 Southend fans took the time to let the world know that their owners are doing a bang-average job. Both sets of fans have had much to gripe around this season but in neither case do they seem to blame this on poor ownership.

Kudos to the organisers though for at least for achieving what nobody here has been able to do, and find two Salford fans.

Never even heard of this before so no surprise such a random weighting of votes from various clubs fans.

We are having a right bloody war, between ourselves.
The Facebook group V the Phoenix group, 2 leaders of the Phoenix group have stepped down today due to vicious and unfounded alligations form some members of the Facebook group.
We are as far away from getting it together as it is possible to get.
Club in court yesterday, WUP dismissed.
A secretive consortium of Bury businessmen is supposedly in negotiations with Grizzly to buy the club pre liquidation, if this is successful we may start next season in the National League,
If not the only hope is Phoenix in the Nort West Counties league.
I bleedin sick of all of um
Thank god the local pub has reopened this week (it closes all January) and the next nearest is 18 miles away!!

Never heard of this survey and I'm pretty happy with how things have gone at the club under the current owner, haven't agreed with some of it and think he would have hacked off far fewer fans in the beginning if he had asked someone who knew something about football before making a few of the changes...that said I do think the black and green colours are better than what they replaced, although I was a bit anti at the time he did it.

There is a vocal minority among our support who sing anti-Eco Park songs at home games, but most fans I speak with are in favour of the move...guess in football, like in life, you can't please all of the people all of the time.

How can you publish results with no clear sample size minimum limit and claim it means anything?

Sure, some clubs can take it as useful, but at least half the clubs had less than 10 responses. Feels like a waste of time to read anything into this.

Not everyone is against the new stadium I agree, but most fans I know are unhappy about something, whether it be treatment of fans, the political stuff or the football itself.

Crowds are down for a reason.

Btw us moving to an out of town stadium owned by Ecotricity is a recipe for disaster if we're not very careful imo. The size of catchment area/interest in coming to FGR is being vastly over estimated by some with very little market research. Build it and they will come doesn't always work too well. The club will lose most of it's identity (already started with the kit and badge) and the danger is that will result in a net loss of fans, rather then this massive spike some are claiming will happen.

I’m fairly sure this ‘survey’ is a load of bollocks.

Is the ground open on a daily basis? Are there any staff left at all ?
I'd imagine the pitch and ground could soon fall into a real state or are volunteers still helping out?
Real sad state of affairs and criminal to see how it has panned out.

You just hate to be positive about ANYTHING to do with Vale.

Crewe fans really are a special breed. Proper hurts them to ever credit us for anything. Remarkable. Don’t get them wet or feed them after midnight.

Boy have you got the wrong end of the stick. Look at the table and tell me it's useful. Is a poll of 10 or fewer fans a true reflection of what a club is doing? Hell, is is even useful if it's not 10% or more?

I mean, you want a sign of how bad this is, look at Bolton's score. One of the highest, especially in finance and football. I mean, according to this, Bolton fans are happier with the football being played than Liverpool.

Huddersfield getting a high score for football despite being at the wrong end of the Championship. Stevenage are a happy bunch according to this, even with the football on show. Apparently we can't stand the football we're playing, as we're towards the bottom for football. Swindon also seem unhappy with their teams play. Stoke fans seem happier. Bradford, despite whinging all season about how bad they are, seem happier than us.

Sure, if the few clubs that gave decent responses want to use this, great. But this has nothing to do with any rivalry. It's just a mostly useless survey that is incredibly vague(any idea what each category actually entails), has no consistent sample size and uses a strange scoring system to produce results. This survey belongs in the bin.
