Hi mate....read your comments & can sympathise with you re the situation. Don't know if you can answer this or not due to lack of contact between you & TB but...have you any 'any' idea if TB will make any kind of statement in here regards what has gone on ? Seems like it would be the decent thing to do.

Hi mate, I’m not sure. I have text 5/6 times this week. If he gets chance to pop in then perhaps so. Your guess is as good as mine. Sorry I can’t help further.

You're kidding, surely?

Step 1: TB will pop on in the next day or two, create a thread with a couple of sentences explaining that everything is 'back to normal' and then lock said thread.

Step 2: TB will then have a look at whether users have created threads suggesting we switch to the other football forum and respond with "have you seen how many people are active on 1FF right now? Loads! A lot more than that shitty forum".

Step 3: Announce new Bet247 advertisement and include sign-up links accordingly.

Shame as this forum is much better in terms of support and members from the Championship and below but they will start to disappear if the site keeps going offline.

There’s still a lot of value in this forum in that the League 2 and Non-league sections are busy and even the League 1 section is busier than the other forum. That’s why I really think it’s time the forum changed hands, TB is clearly not up to the job.

L1 is not busy.
Don’t see why the two forums couldn’t merge into one?

Nope.. Although who can blame you, you’ve been kept in the dark.

3 weeks ago, our hosting provider went down, lost data, couldn’t do back ups, went offline. Nothing we can do, totally out of our hands.

The Website then returned as normal for a couple of weeks. The payment reminder for our hosting then appeared > TB argued our hosting bill, why should we pay it when we have been down for X Period (valid arguement) - they then said pay it or you will be taken offline.

We were then taken offline for a week. I sent reminders to TB via text, websites back on today. So he was either busy, not wanting to drop the arguement or didn’t have time to sort it out.
I totally get that stance. Heck, I make a living out of being a pain in the arse and questioning things, but surely the damage has been bigger than the cost of 1 week? There is a bigger picture...

With respect, I didn’t create, organise or play any part in delivering the Nintendo or the competition. It wasn’t my idea, I didn’t order it and I didn’t send it.
Fucking knew it, good to finally get an admission.

We don't all us lower league forum dwellers migrate over to the other forum then and make it more active. It might even give the dictator that is TB a kick up the arse...

The problem is the most active forums here (league 2 & non league) are dead as a dodo over there. It was would take pretty much everyone who posts in them forums to move over for it to be worthwhile.
It'll take him a long time for him to respond: he's been perma banned for that post haha.

Put simply, TB isn't competent enough to run this forum. That can't be debated, and unless he gets his act together, this forum is just going to get worse and worse unfortunately.

More people will start moving over there anyway if this forum repeatedly goes down.

Posting somewhere is better than posting nowhere. lol

Kidding about what exactly ? The main point of my post was towards Sadderrad & the situation he has found himself in. The rest was merely a question to him which he answered to the best of his ability. As for what TB will do in your opinion, I really don't give a fuck....it was a simple question on my part. Don't get your knickers in a twist lad.....:cool1:

I think if a cursory warning was offered in light of another absence then posters would have a modicum of empathy for the forums plight. Its just people have grown decidedly weary of these frankly perfunctory explanations when the site returns.

Yes the non league and lge 2 forums over the other site are dead, however the rest of it is active, like this forum used to be.

If the lge 2 and non lge guys moved over to the other it would be like this place only no ads and no downtime.

It's clear this forum is finished, Saddler is in an impossible position, 50% owner but has no powers and no communication from the other owner. TB only cares about one thing and that's how much money the next ad makes.

Just need people to move, obviously people hate changes but if everyone moved within a week nobody would notice any difference except the missing ads!

Think the L1 forum could do with a bit of a boost over there aswell tbf. It’s probably as busy as here but seems to be over fewer threads.

I've absolutely no problems with any OFF member who, for whatever reason, has decided to move to 1FF....I've had a look over there but haven't joined....BUT what I don't get is that people who are still members on here who have decided to move and join 1FF still feel the necessity to come on here and bitch and whinge about this site. If it isn't to your liking then WHY ? Enjoy your new home without returning like angry lemmings!

Ha, I wish.

I’m here, I log in everyday. Can always drop me a PM if you please.

So just a couple of points to clear things up.

1) The websites passwords are changed automatically for safety. Unfortunately these are never passed down to myself or Mark for whatever reason when changed. So when an issue like this last week happens, a simple ‘you need to pay the hosting moment’ - I can’t do anything, when I could have paid it myself at any time in the last week.

2) My time is being less spent on here for many reasons. 1 being a close relative with the start of dementia. The second is the layout of the land. I own 50% of this website, but don’t even have the latest hosting email password. I have no say, no sway and no access to any of the 50% my contract clearly states I should have, without asking and as for any revenue/income 50/50 split, that’s never happened. I have asked until I’m blue in the face to be kept up to date and have things split (that’s everything from passwords, to website changes) and here we are again.

I can tell you, it’s no fun to be left in the dark, unable to do anything, only to come online and be criticised about the said thing I can’t solve. Unfortunately right now, I have more pressing issues in my life to deal with.

TB is aware of these frustrations, has been for aware for a long time. Until these are resolved, I’m afraid to say, I won’t be spending more time helping out. There’s only so many times you make an effort to make amends or build bonds, just to have issues arise again a few weeks later before the cycle becomes old.

TB has a busy life and has had a rough couple of years, which in my eyes gives him lots of leeway and I don’t believe he is a bad person, but I am at the point now where my answer is just a bit of a shoulder shrug, which is a shame.

Catch you all soon.

Chris, I spoke to you about this a while ago. If the contract is not being obligated, you know what the answer is. You've given it enough time now, and the bloke clearly isn't interested in building bridges and working together with you and Mark. The personal tragedy is very sad but it can't be used as an excuse forever. Either he honours the agreement you have in place, or you know where to take it. Otherwise, unfortunately mate, he's taking you for a mug.
