That is scary indeed - thank goodness they found it!

We're actually the better of the two teams so far. This feels strange.

Take a bow! What a year Dele Alli's having, to think this time last season he was in Korey Smith's pocket

Even before the goal, I was just about to type how much more involved Rooney looks to the side of the main striker. Kane is much better at the nitty gritty hold up play. It's giving Rooney more space. If he's going to play, we've just found his spot in the team. You watch Roy start him up front alone now in the Euros.

Afraid things arent gonna change while that Dinsouar Woy is in charge. Sick and tired of the Same old negative and conservative shite every game.

First time we have played anyone decent this week in a while and we have been awful. Not taking anything away from Alli and the goal. He looks like a superb player

I could have managed England to the Euros from that qualifying group. To be honest I hoping we get a tough group in the Euros next year and Roy gets his marching orders. We arent progressing.

Against Spain yes, against France no. And not just 'cos we're winning, at 0-0 we were playing better.

your Right. We have improved as the night has gone on so this isnt probably the best night to be saying this.

Fair play to them it certainly has been better than Friday

Dinosaur? Let's get something right, if Hodgson had his way, we'd be playing a flat 4-4-2, because thats what he played during his club management years. The fact that he has varied both the formation and style at his age is a credit to him. He picks form players far more than any of our previous managers in the last decade. He gives youth a chance, doesn't always pick the steady names(bar the odd 1 or 2), does try different formations and tactics.

Yeah, it's not scintillating or world beating stuff, but he has been dealt a limited hand with an injury prone group of England players who are also lacking in talent, as people are so quick to point out. He has done a good job over the last few years. Could have done better, especially in Brazil, but done fine considering what I expected of him when he first took over. The Euros and how we do there massively decide his future. But to criticise him I think is extremely harsh. With the group of players we have, what more does anyone expect from him?

Much better. France were very poor (understandably not entirely focussed) but still, promising signs.

We looked a very well balanced unit, seems we've finally found a formation that suits us. Very impressed with Alli and Dier in the base of that midfield. An area we've struggled in for so long so good to see some promising potential talent coming through

Ali took his chance well and hopefully he will continue to progress with getting the massive media hype the press are prone to giving.

Credit to all involved on what must have been a tough night.

Surely at some point Roy is going to pair Smalling and Stones.

I trust Silkyman will be absolutely scathing about the inevitable Alli media wankstorm.

How is Phil Jones still getting minutes for England?
One of the most depressing things I've seen when 'Delli Alli off, Phil Jones on' was on screen

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Trying to put all the non football stuff aside for a moment, there was some pretty encouraging stuff from England last night, we moved the ball around and unlike against Spain, when we got into their half we were much more decisive with the final ball.I thought the mix between keeping the ball and breaking forward at pace was about right.

Dier in midfield deserves more of a look ahead of the Euros. I hope Ali doesn't get too crazily hyped now and he's allowed to quietly keep on working.

Chills. I've never heard either anthem more poignant. Anybody who says that football isn't more important than life and death don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Vive la France. And God bless England.

so, Tah received, short after his 20th birthday, his first call-up for Germany against England and Italy. Fully deserved, best defender in the league.

btw: our gk position is really, really well covered with Neuer (Bayern), ter Stegen ( Barcelona) and Trapp (PSG)
