Deserved MoM. Fantastic save towards end of game.
In an earlier post I said that the FGR faithful would recognise his time at FGR with appreciation.
When JM ran towards goal, after FGR won coin toss and swapped starting ends, nearly everybody from FGR gave him a loud round of applause. JM returned the compliment by giving the away fans a broad smile and clapping them.
A very nice fella who [damn] had a good game.

Funny game that, we were outstanding for the first 25 mins or so and deserved to be leading. And I know this might sound odd because they didn't score, but I thought FGR were the best team at breaking against play I've seen this season, and I suspect a lot of their wins have come from that style?. Maxted was class yesterday. Not long before before we play that lot down the road........

The new FA directive that players must exit field by nearest touchline when being subbed is one of the worst directives imposed by the FA.
An Exeter player was subbed and told by referee to exit field of play at opposite side to dugouts. He was forced to walk all the way round field to dugout. Fortunately for him he walked past his own supporters. But what about some grounds where a player would be forced to walk past the opponents fans and receive mouthfuls of abuse.
A couple of weeks ago at TNL a subbed player walked straight into the dressing rooms rather than walk past opposition fans.
Also supporters want to acknowledge a subbed players contribution to game and they are being denied that honour.

Not the easiest match to enjoy as it was all pretty tense but we got there!

It was obvious to see why FGR have scored and conceded so few goals though. Very strong at the back (Rawson is some unit) but, seemingly, at the cost of being pretty toothless up front.

The referee seemed to decide that 1-0 was enough and that he wanted to be the centre of attention and achieved that, if for all the wrong reasons. Not only did he manage bad (wrong) decisions, he managed inconsistent decisions as well. The joys of L2 I suppose.
