Poor showing by Northern Ireland against Poland, very little ambition and attacking intent. Got to show more in this game surely? A win would give them a chance to sneak through to the knockouts, so they have got to got for it.

Does Washington start after a lively cameo against Poland? Does O'Neill scale back the 6 defenders he started against Poland? They are capable of getting something from this game, but not if they start the same team as they did in game 1.

All match discussion in here.

No Kyle Lafferty in the Northern Ireland team, but it looks far more attack minded from O'Neill. Washington, Dallas and Jamie Ward start, only 4 defenders as well. Good to see. A win here gives them a slim chance at qualifying in 3rd place.

Konoplyanka and Yarmolenko are a different class to anything Norn have in their ranks. Going to be a tough ask to get the win here. Good luck to them though.

Yep apparently the latter was seen in Leicester. Or his agent was. Or his mates sisters dog walker was. Anyway it'd be nice if both the c*** signed for us. Like a package deal.

Because I have no idea who the agent who represents Konoplyanka is so as they're both Ukranian I'll make believe it's the same bloke and he's working on a double deal.
Even though he was more likely lost on his way to Liverpool or some shit.

Yarmolenko's agent is Vadim Shabliy. Konoplyanka's is his father despite claims from elsewhere. So now you know. ;)

Northern Ireland were superb. Mostly untroubled by Ukraine, snatched 2 good goals. Be interesting to see if 3 points does it for them in terms of the 3rd placed teams.

Yes, but probably need another point to be in the running for the best 3rd placers.
Looking at how things are shaking down amongst the 3rd placed teams, 3 might be enough, but it will rely on results going in their favour, specifically England beating Slovakia and Albania getting a draw against Romania. They also need to avoid a heavy defeat to Germany, a 1-0 or 2-0 gives them a good chance.
