Uruguay continue to underwhelm on a major stage. I wonder if Suarez will bring his shooting boots for this one. You'd fancy them to have as much success as the Russians and score plenty here.

Anything less than a 3 goal defeat a good result for the Saudis?

If Russia can stick 5 past the Saudis, then lord knows what that Uruguayan attack could do!

After that Russia game I subsequently read that Saudi Arabia are the smallest side at the tournament in terms of height, something that Russia exposed particularly when Dzyuba came on.

Now Cavani is 6 ft and if they wanted there's Stuani on the bench who's 6' 1. Just another option for Uruguay in addition to their usual game.

Uruguay only snuck past Egypt and they'll fully expect a more convincing victory.

Good thing you went with Diet Coke, otherwise some may consider that an unhealthy mix.

Phil Neville always sounds really exhausted after each word he says.

KSA might perform better today because in the first game they all were fasting

Looking quite decent so far. Which is no surprise to me, unlike some of the "experts" on here lol.

I'm pretty sure that they would have been given dispensation from Ramadan fasting as they were travelling.

In the case of Saudi, while FA president Adel Ezzat said the players had received special dispensation to postpone their fasts, several sources with the team suggested they will fast intermittently whenever they can.

I still dont know why they conceded 5 goals against Russia because I watched that till 80th minute and they were 3 down and then completely bottled at the end of the game

Saudis to their credit are better organised today, unfortunately they just can't hold onto the ball for any time. Meanwhile Uruguay seem content to 'just do enough' :pond:

Saudi's have dominated the midfield, just not enough end product. Look a decent side.

You mean zero end product. They quite literally don't create any chances and currently have 1 long shot on target in their 2 games. Still, pointless, aimless possession in midfield makes them a good side apparently.

It was only an expected goal feast by people who know fuck all about football and judge teams based off 1 game.

I think we've assessed Saudi Arabia accurately enough but Uruguay just aren't a team who will score a bucketload of goals in a match. They really are the Athletico Madrid of international football.

Makes sense, given they've got Atletico's defence I suppose.

The irony. You pay to watch a pub team. #xtremetinpotter
