Been to Amsterdam following England. Slightly ruined by the fact we seem to take a lot of obnoxious c*** to places like that, and you get lumped in with them but overall was pretty good. Actually prefer going places like there and Prague without football being on as the locals tend to be friendlier.

Wanna go to a Dortmund game soon, the yellow wall looks epic.

Tamworth away on the last day of the season in 10-11 was a good away day, last day relegation 6 pointer live on Premier Sports. We took 400-odd helped by running free coaches, had a good piss up in Spoons wound up their nutter of a lamb mascot and then lost 2-1 even though they didn’t have a proper keeper but other results went our way and both sets of fans ran on the pitch to celebrate survival together. Then went for a piss up in their little club bar in the corner and their gaffer Dale Belford came in already hammered along with some players from both sides and had a sing song with both sets of fans.

After that we to the Snowdome and managed to get let on the slopes somehow for some dodgy pissed up skiing and then fell asleep on the train and ended up in Exeter.
Forest Green v Tamworth live on TV. Can’t imagine why Premier Sports are no more when they could offer that kind of fan pulling power :animatedf:

As I’m really bored at work I’ve just put all the scores of my away games in my original post as I know you’ll all be dead interested.

Comes in at W12 D7 L14 and as a lot of them were in the Championship against big teams it’s not too shabby.
Just a shame that nearly all the Yorkie away ones were defeats as they were the ones with packed away ends, the Barnsley and Huddersfield defeats were both on Boxing Day which wrecked my Christmas both years as back then after a defeat I’d be sulking for days.

Interesting way of looking at it, my record would be W 41, D 42, L 68, F 190, A 251, GD -61.

Do people actually take notes of games they've been to or something. I genuinely don't have a clue how many I've been to, what happened or what the scores were.

I’d say I can remember a lot of details from around 90% of away games ive been to and the ones where I can’t remember as much I can still remember the scores and the order the goals were scored in.
My football memory is excellent but my day to day memory is pretty awful.

This thread has pushed me to do so for the first time. Took me four hours but I've now got the list. A very therapeutic exercise.

I have seen us in a lot more away games than home ones. Left Lincolnshire aged 10 and didn't return until 1972, some 10 years later and then only for a couple of years.

Being in Singapore, Germany, Morayshire and Cornwall with long months in Saudi Arabia, Cyprus and the US hasn't helped over the years either.

Did you manage to make it to BP for the Fulham play off in 98?
That’s the best atmosphere I’ve ever been in, even better than Liverpool away and the FGR game at Wembley, never seen an atmosphere like it home or away before or since, the noise was indescribable.

Sadly no, I wasn't there. The best home atmosphere I can remember was in the Pontoon against WBA when Ivano Bonetti scored. Been some great games and scenes since I started going, hope to be involved with a few more before I stop.
