We aren't in this. No way will we even remotely appear to be in any danger for the rest of this season under the Cowley's. They've completely turned around our freefall mentality and got wins even when we've had an injury crisis and a bench full of teenagers.
Quite possible that all 3 promoted clubs could go straight back down.
We'll stay up. We have an almighty injury crisis, to add onto our previous problems, but the Cowley's still pull off a key deserved win, and our upcoming fixture list looks alright. They've done a brilliant job as we had all...
Don't expect it to be a pretty game today and we're without our midfield general Hogg which is a blow, but we've looked decent defensively and on the counter so wouldn't totally rule out a point for us.
Fuck that. I'm delighted we came down just in time to miss out on this farce. It's all for TV viewers and rich owners, totally ruins the game for the fans. I despise it.
I don't disagree with much of that, but the Prem money will be a strong legacy. The clubs infrastructure and assets have already really improved because of it and despite one of the worst runs of results by any club in recent times we are still averaging over 20k. So again, why is it unrealistic...
Why is a club that has only just been relegated from the Prem making a go of it next season at all unrealistic? It's ridiculous that we started so badly this season. Having a go next season isn't ambition, it's a reasonable expectation considering our recent income and current stature.
For the first time in about 2 years, I don't have that sinking feeling anymore. We finally have a confident team again. Still pretty limited, and lots of work to do, but think there'll be 3 worse teams than us.
Because thinking we can get mid table really is prime Barcelona. Weird fan base.
Our first year in the Premier League was great, but there were plenty of meh moments when you get comfortably beaten but don't feel like you can complain because the oppositions bench is worth more than our club. I fucking loathe VAR so I'm not devastated we left when we did.
I'm terrified of...
It was looking that way but after we stayed up we massively fucked it up. Spent big on obscure prospects rather than bringing in proven quality than we needed to push us on ala Burnley, Watford, Bournemouth for example. Things became poisonous, we hired some random German PE teacher as manager...
Looking likely barring a Cowley miracle. Our quality is shocking. Problems started in the transfer window after we stayed up in the Prem, £20m on Diakhaby and Mbenza who even look shite in this league, wow! Criminal.
