Tavares is a bit on the slow side but has unquestionable quality on the ball when he's at his best. The pace of the game over here will be far different than what he's used to and it might take until the back end of the season to really see the best of him. The lack of urgency at times was...
Are you on drugs? It wasn't our best performance at Vale Park this season but we thoroughly deserved to win, and felt like we could have gone up a gear or two had we needed to.
Millwall have a good front two but little else.
With our scintillating home form and Coventry's woeful start to the season you'd think this is as big a home banker as they come, but we all know that football doesn't always work out that way. Coventry will turn up with a nothing to lose and everything to gain mentality, without any pressure...
When we have time and space on the ball we're as good as anyone in the league. When away from home, the home team generally plays with a bit more of a tempo and that includes closing down. Bury and Bristol Rovers (in the 2nd half) pressured us well and our passing game went to pot. Away from...
I'm not saying he wasn't the best option available if we're going down the must be English route. Though I don't think Pardew or Howe would do any worse. But he's an average manager at the end of the day - I don't see many top foreign clubs going in for him.
Sam Hart was fire. I was worried with Thomas being out of the side but the young lad put in a great display. Millwall clearly have some good players, and they're front two are amongst the best in the division for me, but we were well worth the win and probably should have had a couple more to...

No hard feelings, I actually hope you go on to have a decent season as I hold no grudges whatsoever in regards to Rovers.
Back to the norm for us at Vale Park tonight though. See you later on in the season... :2thumb:
The pressure is somewhat off us in those three away games, so I would expect us to get at least one surprise result from the three. Many people unrealistically expected us to just turn up and roll Bristol Rovers over.
Expect our lot to be right back at it tomorrow after a terrible 2nd half performance against Bristol Rovers in which we handed the game to them. I don't believe they are a better side than us for a moment. Millwall were excellent at our place last season, possibly the best opponent we faced, but...
Excellent post. That was the most frustrating thing, that Rovers didn't need to play particularly well to win the game. They deserved to win the game, absolutely, but looked as average as I thought they would be. Had they played at the same level and we had reached the heights we've been capable...
Coutinho or Barkley? Hahaha. That's one of the silliest questions I think anyone could possibly ask. Barkley has talent but Coutinho is on a completely different level.
We're very much a work in progress, and we've been terrible on the road for a while now long before Bruno and all the foreign players arrived. At home I feel confident of beating any side in the league, and away from home I think we'd struggle against clubs from the league below for reasons...
