Pace is the one thing he doesn't have now but he definitely knows his limits and I think in the most part he dealt with opposition pace quite easily in this league last year so should be fine in the north. Would be great to have Stockport/NY visiting the Deva again next season.

Very happy with him so far. Scored the only goal of the game against Braintree on Saturday and has been solid defensively.

Pleased with 6 points from Braintree and Halifax but not getting carried away as I think both B'tree and H'fax will be mid to bottom half of the table come the end of the season. Pleased that Chappell got a goal last night as I thought he had a poor game against Braintree. Sounds like Tom Shaw...

Sparkes and Akinola were probably the best performers which is much the same as last season imo. They were a very average team really. They weren't bad by any stretch but never really looked like scoring.

Hopefully we will be able to take advantage of Halifax's poor first result but we will need to play a lot better than we did against Braintree. Would take a point but think we are more than capable of a win.
