Earlier this week we completed the signing of Ben Thompson from Peterborough. Don't know a great deal about him but has played plenty of football at either League One or in the Championship so hopefully a good sign. Becomes the third Thompson we've signed this summer.

Was just going to comment to say he looked very good for you when we played you at our place last season. Made two or three decent saves, including an unbelievable point blank save to deny Bostwick. If he performs like that every week, should be a great signing.

We've just announced the signing of Louis Thompson, formerly of Portsmouth, joining his brother at the club. Seems to have made plenty of appearances at League One level, will hopefully prove to be a decent addition.

In addition to Freeman, we've also signed Alex MacDonald from Gillingham. Will be the third time MacDonald has played under Steve Evans. Two signings I'd have been very happy with in League Two - remains to be seen how they work out for us at this level.
