We’ve absolutely fucked it again. We’ve needed a striker for 18 months/2 years now and still no sign of one coming in. The likes of Nketiah, Reid and Austin who we were heavily linked, have all gone to other Championship clubs which speaks volumes. Bollocks to it.

All going off down our end. It’s going to be a busy few days! It is reported that the fee for Webster will be £24.5m with Matt Clarke coming here on a season long loan. We’ve also agreed personal terms with Kasey Palmer on a permanent move according to another report.

Pissed about the news on Webster and not an ideal time with the season days away. Not only that but the likely replacements have been snapped up already leaving us with very few options. Didn’t like Brighton in 2004, and still don’t like the c***.

Long way to go yet. I’d agree with you but the young players we have are improving year on year. The likes of Brownhill and Eliasson had a fantastic season last campaign, it’s just whether we can keep hold of those players and add to the squad. The only position we seriously need strengthening...

I think it’s down the balloon fiesta being on the 10th. It’s usually the weekend of the 2nd week of fixtures, hence why we’re away that weekend at Birmingham. Don’t remember the last time we were away on the first fixture. Remember Preston a few years ago?

Charlton away on Boxing Day is a shame. Also Brentford and West Brom away are night games which is shite.
