Jalal was probably a little unlucky to get released by us since he was 1st choice in a league winning team. He was certainly one of the weaker starting 11 though and I can see why he got released - he just drops a few too many clangers.

I don't think we'd have been promoted without Blissett. He was that different option up front that we didn't have. Tyrone Marsh was a lot better alongside Blissett, with Marsh scoring lots of important goals at the end of the season. Blissett also chipped in with 5 in 15 games which isn't a bad...

Salford are paying Whitehead a mere EIGHT times what we were paying him last season and over double what he was paid at Wigan. He’s a good player, but that’s sheer lunacy in financial terms - he would have signed for Salford for less than half the money they’ve given him!
