2 good wins so far this week, genuinely surprised we’ve put a decent run of form together, couldn’t see it coming at all. Wasn’t there tonight as working, but sounds like a decent performance and deserved victory.
Crewe at home on Saturday is a great opportunity to get a 3rd straight win.
Wasn’t a bad game against Blackburn, we surprisingly looked pretty good going forward but unsurprisingly really weak defensively. Blackburn, though, were simply a much better team - Dack ran the show and Armstrong is a top striker. Dack’s second and Hope’s goal for us were both great finishes...
Decent game yesterday, thought Northampton looked very good going forward, big and powerful defenders with confidence on the ball. I’d say they were the better team until the last 20 minutes when they seemed to tire and we grew into the game, definitely seen penalties given for those handball...
I’m looking forward to Saturday, a day on the drink, what’s not to like :P1:
Agreed that Northampton will likely win, somehow the bookies have us as favourites and 9/5 for an away win is definitely worth a bet.
Also agreed that the protest will be powderpuff - there’s very little interest at...
Was in the away end for this, QPR are in for a long season if that’s anything to go by. They offered nothing until the last 15 minutes when they went for it a bit, had one good chance near the end. Preston played well but didn’t test the keeper an awful lot.
No surprise at all that we lost yesterday, it’s gonna be a long, long season. I’ve said I don’t think we’ll go down, but with Sheridan saying only 1 more to come in (a defender) then we really could be in trouble, there’s an obvious lack of goals in the entire squad. Lose at home next weekend...
Exeter to beat Carlisle at 11/10 this weekend.
League Outrights, not 100% yet:
Man City
Middlesbrough
Peterborough
Notts County
Fancy Boro to do better this season, decent squad and a solid manager in Pulis. Peterborough have pretty much changed their entire squad, but have brought in some...
Can see Sheridan walking before the season’s out, maybe even before Christmas if we get off to an especially bad start. I can see casualties at Bury, Cambridge, Oldham, Port Vale and Stevenage, I’ll go Lowe first sacking.
We’ve signed a couple of loan players, striker Yates from Rovrum and midfielder Slater from Sheffield Utd.
Least excited I’ve ever been about an upcoming season, can only see us struggling and Sheridan leaving after a few months. I’ve no idea where the goals will come from in this current...
You play up here on Good Friday (pretty sure it was Easter Monday last season), though we play at yours on a Tuesday. Notts County away is also midweek, shame as they’re two of the closer away days.
Exeter away is a good away day but hardly the start you’d hope for, while Yeovil away to finish...
Watched Saudi Arabia against Germany earlier tonight, and they played really well. Kept the ball and created quite a few chances, unlucky not to equalise too.
17/2 looks a great price considering Russia’s squad, even with the home backing.
Was my 118 for the revised version? If so I’ll take that, especially knowing I’d have easily won with my original! :bg:
Fair play for working the scores out though
So John Sheridan appointed. Obviously a better option than Slade and some of the others mentioned, but it’s hardly an appointment that’ll excite the fans.
Can’t see us going down under Sheridan, another boring midtable season I reckon.
Quite like the shape of the league this coming season, only really Morecambe within a short distance but then quite a few decent trips such as Tranmere, Oldham, Bury etc. Hopefully we have a good season and take some solid followings.
