If it’s a good away following yes, it gets used for concerts and international matches plus the Rugby League Challenge Cup Semi finals so all helps but at the end of the day it’s council owned.
It was true, first 20 minutes we were better, then one of your players went down with a fake injury (all teams do it) Artell had a chat and changed tactics and it was all Grimsby until the 84th minute. McCann just didn’t adapt with our tactics until then which were mainly gung-ho
We didn’t have a choice, Belle Vue couldn’t be redeveloped due to subsidence and the cost to rectify was astronomical, the Police wouldn’t sanction a ground in the Town itself so the only option available that fell within the FA grant, owners contribution and council contribution was where it...
We started brightly but have to say the longer the half went on the more Grimsby got on top, can’t argue with them winning we looked clueless by the end of the half.
It’s weird because as bad as Richardson was he ultimately did us a favour in what he did. We certainly wouldn’t be where we are now otherwise.
As for tomorrow not sure on the lineup,
TSL
Sterry, Olowu and Anderson
Bailey, Crew
Molyneaux and Ironside for definite
Maxwell, Clifton and Ennis...
Not sure how many players we have out after Palace, Ennis and Maxwell both looked like they might be out and Sterry looked like he was growing a second head
We haven’t been playing well, in fact we haven’t played well for most of the season. We are grinding out results and will keep doing so along with getting a result like tonight again. Are we good enough to go up, not sure if I’m honest, we’ll be in the mix come the end of the season.
Dobra has been good second half not so much first and I think the way Cook tweaked the formation has made the most difference we just haven’t adapted to it
