To be fair, I forgot about you guys.
OK replace Gateshead with Brackley and Gateshead can scrap with Spendy and Chester for 8th.
Anyone else want to stake a claim for top 7?
Yep, I'm ultra confident.
We had a bit of a shaky start with a glut of injuries unsettling things, and it didn't help that we came up against yourselves and Boston early doors either. But we're settling down now and the football we play is so slick.
Now we have Maguire, Sousa, Campbell...
The top teams, not including yourselves, will be (in no particular order) Darlington, Boston, York, Gateshead, Kidderminster, Fylde. There's 6 of your top 7 there.
I think you'll complete the top 7, maybe you will actually win it who knows, but no, you haven't played anyone yet.
Spendy and...
Their fans seem to think it's all sponsorship because of the massive interest in moving back home, plus increased ST holders etc.
No doubt interest will have increased as well as sponsorship.
I doubt it's increased enough to sign Asante from Chester, and all of the other signings. 99.9% sure...
They've had an easy start, barely played anyone yet. No doubting they are a good side this year, but time will tell how good.
Boston and Kiddy both have looked very strong to me.
Guiseley 1 Darlington 4
Absolute footballing masterclass there. We hit the woodwork 3 times and generally just embarrassed Guiseley. They did get a consolation goal from a well struck free kick but didn't deserve it one bit.
0-8 would have been a fair reflection on the match, but I'll take 1-4...
Second start, and he made a sub appearance as well.
Campbell is dangerous, a great link up player, got all the skill, scores the odd spectacular goal (like at BC last season), but he needs 10 chances to score one from open play.
Good news. Nicky Hunt was released from hospital at 5am after scans came back clear. A big sigh of relief there.
Unfortunately this has all been soured by the behaviour of the Boston United goalkeeper, whining about the match being abandoned and having to replay (though this is extremely...
Best wishes to Nicky Hunt, injured in the 86th minute of our match tonight in the build up to Boston's 2nd goal.
We don't really know his condition yet but he was on the floor for an hour until the ambulance finally arrived - it looked to be a head or neck injury.
Really play should have been...
OK, I've seen enough to know that Darlington will win the league this season, we're just getting warmed up.
So long as we keep Luke Charman, and Nicky Hunt, Will Hatfield and Tony McMahon play plenty of matches. No other club in this league can possibly have any players approaching the quality...
