Haha, of course. It was actually my last season as a season ticket holder before I moved to London (in fact, I had already moved south but must have been back for the weekend). I was in the Stacey West stand behind the goal (we closed it shortly after to save money), behind the net as the goals...
Why are you lot always so good in the second half of the season, once there's fuck all to play for? Same last year, and a few had you down for playoffs as a result. I think I'm right in saying you're third in the form table post-23 games. But obviously turd prior to that.
Same mate. I remember just standing there wondering whether I'd still have a club to support the next season. Crazy. Never felt relief like I did when those two goals went in.
Jamie Taylor, a rare jewel amongst the sea of utter shit who pulled on the shirt in our first few Conference years
I think you said about us getting late winners (specifically in injury time), which hasn't necessarily been the case this year, as someone else pointed out.
As I said elsewhere, we made hard work of that. The Yeovim keeper was riemwastjng from the second minute and the ref gave practically nothing, let everything go and we had two strong shouts for penalties turned down. Got there in the end, just ground it out.
Under Cowley we're rarely going to...
I love the football purists who, usually after we have beaten their team, say that they wouldn't want to be top if it meant playing like we do. Yeah, suuuuure...
Just pointing out that despite this recent good run of three wins on the bounce, you are still a long, long way off the playoffs. As SoC says, you seem to have too many poor runs to be a realistic playoff side. if Jolley can iron that out so that you don't sink into losing 3 or 4 on the trot...
I think Carolyn posing on her balcony or in the jacuzzi or on her fancy holidays to Dubai probably makes it seem a bit gaudy and tasteless. It's not exactly a discreet, is it?
I like to watch the game when I go to football.
The people that are up every five minutes for a piss drive me nuts. I had the seat on the end of the row on Saturday...up and down like a whore's drawers.
The facilities in that stand really aren't sufficient for 4300 fans - the bogs under the block I was in were absolutely rammed, only space for about 6/7 at a time. Opening the doors at the back is a good idea though.
Legroom is a bit shit as well. You'd think it would be better to put fewer...
It's something I have difficulty with as well, but apparently we are amongst the lowest earners in the Football league in terms of commercial revenue and matchday revenue, because we have sod all facilities outside of a football ground. This is the argument for moving to a shiny new stadium...
