It's funny how every one was going overboard last season about how Madden was on 3k a week but now because it's been claimed that someone is on 9k it must be him. So if someone really is on that amount why not just apply Occam's razor and ask which player in the NL was being chased by EFL clubs...
I disagree, I think it will be a major surprise if someone outside of the top two in the betting won the league and an absolute shock if the winner came from outside the top eight (in the betting).
Thought we looked very decent against an admittedly well under strength Lincoln team. The biggest stand out for us was the lad we've got on a season long loan from Mcr Utd Will Fish, whilst I don't want to go overboard based on a pre-season friendly he really was quite impressive.
We had a young striker on loan from Derby last season Jack Stretton who looked a real good prospect, would love to have him back but I doubt whether that will happen.
I heard a rumour that a Premier League player at one of the country's elite clubs signed a full season loan deal with a NLN club last week but it rather got drowned out by the news of a player who has never played at a higher level than League One signing for another NLN club - just saying.
With all you Wrexham fans talking about Kane should us Stockport supporters be worried that you are about to make the signing of the millennium in any sport in any country?
The truth of the matter is that for us clubs of a certain size it's a waste of time doing an overlong victory parade because (as clearly happened) at some points you are quite literally going to have one man and his dog. At least when we won the NLN we had the good sense to just go from the Town...
Jealous moi? - well yes I am. Like you say everything happened for him last season but before then he was just OK, obviously we'll be hoping he's a one season wonder but if not he will be massive for you.
There's quite a few saddos at Hereford these days. When we played them in the NLN they limited us to 600 tickets and just about every pretend 'hard man' in Hereford turned out for them looking for trouble - though outnumbered our 'lads' held their own but the Hereford lot then started attacking...
Personally I thought that Kitching was our most creative player when venturing forward, if he comes back this season in similar form I think that he will be a significant asset .
