I really think he was after a pay off, he was never going to get another job at this level so he went for the pay off. Why else would he carry on with tactics and formations that everyone, including him, knew wouldn't work. He will get another job in football, they always do, coaching Spurs...
Northampton is not as nice as it used to be, but it's not sunk low enough yet for people from Peterborough & Gillingham to be able to criticise it and be taken seriously.
The only problem is that Baldock is not a League 2 player. He plays for MK Dons who have been in the Championship this season and had a loan spell at a League 2 club. Also the obvious left back should be David Buchanan who has played every minute of every game, for the team that has walked the...
I bet the photographer, who was obviously tipped off that footballers were in that box, was well p*ssed off when they turned out to be League 1 & 2 players, not boys from the Premiership.
You certainly are our bogey team ,but you have lost at Sixfields, 3-0 in 95/96 season. I thought the play acting yesterday was a disgrace, but it's up to the ref to stop it and that's a struggle when he doesn't know the basic rules. First time I've ever seen a match stopped for someone to tie...
I think the phrase "Stonewall" was invented for that penalty, that wasn't given, last night. Not even the slightest doubt it was a pen. Dons fans, ask yourself if it was at the other end , would you have expected a pen ? Think I know the answer.
Well the slick passing football produced ONE shot on goal in the 90 odd minutes but our hoofball got lucky again for the 21st time this season.
It was disgraceful, at Brisbane Rd, where Ricky Holmes was trying hoof it out of the ground but it flew into the top corner :emb:
I remember our first visit to Yeovil, we walked up to the beer tent which had a huge sign above the entrance saying "Every one welcome". Scorching hot day, really looking forward to a beer only for the bouncers to say "No away fans", we did point out the sign to him but he didn't change his...
Why did we not deserve to win it ? Yes the Daggers were much better than us in the first half but we were much better than them in the second, we took our chances and they didn't.
I thought we were watching Wycombe today, surrounding the (piss poor) ref, rolling around to get players booked and then getting up straight away after he's booked, time wasting from the 1st minute until we scored. That apart they looked a reasonable team, very impressed by Halliday and Crookes ?
Our coaches were an hour up the M1, a 10.30 inspection would have been fine for most Boxing Day games but we get the longest trip of all the FL teams when there are TEN teams within 100 miles of Northampton in League 2 !!
