Approx. 500 Bury (AFC) fans watched a dull 4-1 defeat at Abbey Hey (Gorton, Manchester) in the FA Vase 3rd round on Saturday.
400 pre-sold and crowd announced as 650.
An ideal scenario but won’t happen.
We have a CVA agreement that without any football cannot be met. We have an owner who refuses to put any money in (in fact he claims he is owed £7M in the CVA)... as soon as we fail a CVA agreement we will be liquidated at the courts, so that won’t be long...
A random Brazilian bloke taking over Bury F.C. at the 11th hour just sounds too dodgy.
A quick google search of SJ Global, this apparent £500M company, returns nothing apart from a company with a HQ in Norwich with 2 employees.
You are my Bury, my only Bury,
you make me happy, when skies are grey... you’ll never know just how much I love you, so please don’t take my Bury away......
I find it strange that Telford aren’t more well supported. Obviously AFC Telford are a phoenix of the original but even still, the town of Telford is the largest in Shropshire and there is no large competition near Telford, the nearest big clubs are Wolves or the Birmingham ones but even they’re...
Shrewsbury v Telford would be a good spectacle, 15 Miles between them at a guess and not played competitively in decades...
It’s always those type of rarely seen rival fixtures that are the best I think, Stoke v Vale is another example.
What about teams with no genuine rivals at all?
Off the top of my head:
Crawley
Bournemouth
Salford
Coventry (?) - they seem to have something with Leicester but not very substantial, even Leicester could be considered a club without any genuine rival...
Carlisle have loose ones with ones...
Other rivalries that won’t have been mentioned because it doesn’t include non-league clubs:
Shrewsbury - Telford and Hereford
Yeovil - Weymouth
Mansfield - Chesterfield and Notts County
Rochdale - Stockport
Stevenage - Barnet also a noticeable absence.
I don’t know if the Cowley’s would be enough to qualify someone as a rival? Even a loose one...
Teams you hate and teams you consider rivals are completely different, or else Man U would be top of most clubs lists.
I once knew a Leeds fan who hated QPR because of some personal issues with a...
It’s all opinions, but I don’t kmow which fans they asked for half of those rivalries.
We’re Macclesfield’s 3rd rival apparently despite no animosity between the two clubs whatsoever.
Needs to include non-league teams to be far more accurate...
Macclesfields traditional rivals are Altrincham...
Because he’s holding out for all he can get by playing a game of brinksmanship. The guy has nationally showed himself to be a absolute crank, the likes of which I wouldn’t wish on anybody.
This short deadline plays into Dale’s hands perfectly... if we fold due to lack of time he will simply...
I get the notion that we’ve had enough deadlines but that was when Steve Dale was refusing to sell, the deadlines were aimed to make him hurry up. Now the situation is completely different, we have a potential buyer. If the EFL don’t extend their deadline to a reasonable allowance (1 day is a...
