After all that Vale have gone through in the last 10 years (Administration, Transfer Embargoes, lots of dodgy directors and boards, directors not paying shares, directors remortgaging the ground, supporters losing their shares due to board actions etc..) I know just how bad it can get!
I've...
Very much a game of 2 halves.
As usual we got off to a slow start and it took us until 60 minutes to get going. I was quite impressed with Gillingham after the first half and thought they played some decent stuff and deserved to be ahead although their number 6 was very lucky to be on the pitch...
In my opinion I don't think that we have missed O'Conner as Tavares has more than taken his place.
But when you take 2 influential players like Grant and Tavares from the spine of your team it will have a massive impact and this can be said of any team in any division.
Some people were slating...
Well just got back from Gigg Lane and I have to say well done to Bury. Credit where credit is due they were the better team and adapted to the horrendous conditions far better than we did.
The problem we had was that with both Grant and Tavares missing through injury we were on the back foot...
Brought my tickets for Bury v Vale today and we have sold almost 900 so I would expect at least 300-400 pay on the gate, therefore, I would estimate approx 1200 Valiants at Gigg Lane
I'm not a massive Smurthwaite fan, as I just think he rubs lots of people up the wrong way, however, although I did have my concerns over a unknown manager who lets face it, had a awful previous record, I have to say that I'm presently surprised.
I also had similar concerns when experienced...
We've had a bag of mixed results at Bury over the last few years so this match is a bit difficult to predict, and not knowing too much about this years Bury team, I will just go with how Vale will likely approach the game.
I'm sure Bruno will go with 1 up front again with us being away from...
A decent performance from Vale today. The movement and the way we played the ball around was very good, we have started to create more opportunities than we have done in previous games and finally started to punish teams.
Forrester's goal was excellent as was Thomas's cross and Jones volley...
Quite odd that Page has come in for JJ Hooper, as JJ was a player that he hardly used to play when he was Vale manager citing that he wasn't near ready.
He has got the odd decent goal in him but he's no where near prolific by any stretches of the imagination.
The only other striker that possibly could be available that has Lg1 experience and doesn't have a bad goal scoring record is Izale McLeod. Notts County have an abundance of strikers and Sheridan has said that he is willing to let McLeod go. Last time he was in Lg1 he scored 19 goals in about 40...
Yeah I saw Smurf confirm that on Twitter.
I would like to see if we could possibly bring Adam Le Fondre in from Cardiff.
He's come to and agreement that the won't ever pay for Cardiff again and they pretty much want him gone.
He's only 29 has a half decent goal record and comes from Stockport...
From what I heard on the radio it sounds like we were good for at least a point today and Swidon scored from Anthony a Grants mistake.
Like others have said an experienced striker and winger and we should be ok.
Also, it's good to see opposition fans complementing Vale.
Although Swindon has never been a happy hunting ground for us, I have a feeling that we may pick up some points in this game.
Not sure how many yet, three would be very nice but I would settle for a point. The main thing for us it to keep another clean sheet and see where it takes us come 5...
According to a few newspapers Mario Balotelli on his way to Wolves or Vale
:ffs::lol::lol::lol:

I thought we ok in the first half and did enough to get into the stride of the game.
Like against Southend on Saturday, in the second half we upped our game, played some half decent stuff at times and it could have been at least 4 if we could be a bit more clinical in front of goal.
I thought...
Vale are set to announce the signing of Miguel Santos on loan this week.
He is a reserve keeper from Benfica and has been training with us for 2 weeks, he played in the last friendly game against Sheffield Wednesday.
Apparently we are now just waiting for international clearance and he could...
It took us until the 2nd half to really get going but a decent enough performance in the second half from a new team who are still gelling.
Forrester and Streete's goals were both well taken, hopefully the further 3 new signings that are expected next will give us a few more options down the...
