We’ve had a lot of injuries and picked up a few more on Tuesday - we’ve gone into the second half of the season with 5 centre half’s and thank god we did because all of them have been picking up injuries all the time.
This will end up in another free scoring game IMO like it did on Tuesday...
I thought we was lucky to win tbh, we really struggle right now to see out games.
If Mansfield made it 2-0 when they hit the bar They’d have likely won the game. Having said that, Brown should’ve made it 3-1 I thought and seconds later it’s 2-2.
Won it thanks to a Charlie Kelman wonder goal...
Wellens has said we have a few defensive injuries with Dan Happe now gone for the rest of the season and Edmonds-Green 50/50 to play, we may have a makeshift centre half. We keep having to change our defence due to injuries and it’s really impacted us the last few months.
Deserved loss against Burton, we’ve not been that bad in a half in a long time in the second half.
First half could’ve ended 3-3, both sides with some really lazy defending.
Bowyer made a few subs at 1-0 down and changed their shape and within mins Burton were in front and deservedly saw the...
We have a kind fixture list apart from our last two games.
We basically have to win this, but wary that Burton have improved under Bowyer, this is likely to be another 0-0 with the Brewers or 1-0 either way.
It is indeed a strange choice, that and our games with the Steves are now very low scoring after they beat us 3-0 in consecutive games and Wellens totally changed our tactics against them after the second 3-0 loss.
Alot of people forget that back in November we was 4th bottom and there were crys from certain people for Wellens to go, Ling to go, McCormack to go, Travis to go etc etc.
The players to their credit got alot of wins against middle of the road/bottom four sides and did it without conceding...
Lost a tight game, should really have got a point - not sure how Kelman missed his chance shortly after Rotherham scored and Jamie Donley very unlucky when his effort went inches wide.
Since beating Wrexham we’ve lost 4 in a row - this is what happens when you over celebrate wins against the...
Will be a tricky trip to Rotherham who won at the weekend, our goal keeper Josh Keeley is a bit out of form and has been at fault for a few goals recently. Only 20 so a dip in form not a suprise, sadly we don't have any replacement to take him out of the firing line for a game or two.
Our last...
Well I have only missed one of my teams games this season and missed only about 16 in the last 21 years, so I know when the right time to overcelebrate is :) and beating a team who have clearly downed tools isn't one of those moments.
Yeah but you've still achieved nothing so far this season? Thats why I would never do it and haven't done for a long time, you learn your lesson that football can bite you on the backside quickly, why over celebrate one win when theres still so much to play for and your season objectives haven't...
Not too sure myself, they don't have a pot to piss in and have been making cuts across the club the last 12 months. Whoever takes it IMO has a tough job on their hands.
As I said previously, I have no issue with players giving it out on the pitch to their opponents after a certain moment/goal, they all do it. Then again I could argue that 12 months later RVN scored in the same fixture and ended thier unbeaten run and football bit them back.
Well I have been...
I wouldn't though unless we'd achieved something, thats just the way I think - the next game is the most important.
You wouldn't see the elite sides like Peps City, or Fergies Man Utd or Wengers Arsenal doing those over the top things for a game in isolation.
But maybe my expectations are too...
