  1. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th January

Good win, finally. Those 3 points could be massive for our season, as well as Darren Moore. It was a typical away performance from us. Notts County and MK away were exactly the same. Not the prettiest, but job done. We’ve actually been playing pretty similar during our poor run of results vs...
  2. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 7th December

Fair play to Walsall. They were the better team and deserved the win. Walsall impressed me to be honest. Looked organised and had two good strikers that didn’t let us play. The weather knocked a good few off the attendance and made it a poor atmosphere.
  3. Vale on Trent

    w/e Saturday 30th November

Acoustics are rubbish - Vale Park never creates a good atmosphere. Each stand is too far away from each other and on too much of a slant. You can only hear the people singing around you. I couldn’t hear the Crewe fans from the opposite corner of the Railway.
  4. Vale on Trent

    w/e Saturday 30th November

Also, fair play to Vale and Crewe fans. Over 10,000 there on a Monday night. Seen Crewe bring a lot less on a Saturday and seen some shocking Vale midweek attendances. Maybe could have got 11/12,000 on a Saturday.
  5. Vale on Trent

    w/e Saturday 30th November

We had 10 men for 50 mins against a side in the top 7. We were always going to get dominated. We’re Port Vale not Man City.
  6. Vale on Trent

    w/e Saturday 30th November

I’d have been a lot more nervous if we were holding on against Stoke.
  7. Vale on Trent

    w/e Saturday 30th November

A point is a decent result, especially after having 10 men for over 50 minutes. I’d be more disappointed if I was a Crewe fan. Thought they were wasteful at times. I’ve seen us lose that type of game multiple times. So it’s nice to see a Vale team show a bit of heart and desire...
  8. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 16th November

It’s not a proper local derby. It might be for you, but it isn’t for us. I don’t know one Crewe fan.
  9. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 16th November

Are Crewe going to bring more than 1,200 to us?
  10. Vale on Trent

    Tuesday 22nd October

I think the best Vale squad in 20 years is slightly pushing it. Had some decent League One teams in that time and achieved nothing with this squad yet. The strength in depth for this level is brilliant though. We are making 5 changes in some games and still winning games fairly comfortably...
  11. Vale on Trent

    Tuesday 22nd October

First Tuesday night league win since April 2022. Absolutely dominated and should have been 3 or 4-0. Credit to Harrogate for staying in the game and being resolute. We changed half of our team tonight and still looked like we were in 2nd gear. Conor Grant also started, who hasn’t been in one...
  12. Vale on Trent

    Thursday 12th & Saturday 14th September

Good win from us, but not sure they’re a very good league two team. They will get out battled by a lot of teams if they play like that. We out ran them, over powered them and had more quality. They probably would have scored if they actually put the ball in our box.
  13. Vale on Trent

    Thursday 12th & Saturday 14th September

Good win and back to back wins in the league. Hopefully go on a run now and cement ourselves in the top seven. We were very good in the first 60 mins or so and should have gone two up. Chesterfield had the better of possession in the last half hour without ever threatening really. Last season...

Stickied League 2 Away Support Thread 2024/25

Any Vale fans know how many we’ve sold for Barrow? Would expect 700 plus.
  15. Vale on Trent

    Mon 31 Oct & Tue 1 Nov

Good point away at Wycombe. However, I think we were the better team, had the better chances and can probably find ourselves unlucky to not win it.

Decent following from us. 2 hours and a half away on a soaking wet Tuesday night.
  17. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 8th October 2022

What a shame you’re in the same league as little Port Vale. Let’s hope you get to compete with the mighty Sheffield United in the near future.
  18. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 8th October 2022

Maybe so. No offence but 80% of my Vale supporting Life has been depressing. 5 years ago when we were at the bottoms of league 2, I never thought we’d be beating Derby away. I might sound cringey or embarrassing but days like today is why I support this football club.
  19. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 8th October 2022

Some football club. Seen us lose against Macclesfield, Accrington, Stevenage, Crawley, even Chasetown. Seems like ever since I’ve supported Vale we’ve been shit. There’s always been an expectancy that Vale will let you down in some way. I’ve dreamt of away wins against the likes of Derby etc...
  20. Vale on Trent

    Saturday 8th October 2022

Derby away - big game for us. The type of games we want to be playing regularly. Loads after tickets, probably could have sold another 1k tickets. Let’s go there, make some noise and give them a few problems to think about. No point defending all game and end up losing anyway.
