The drainage was sorted in the summer, but apparently the re-seeding then hadn't properly set in time this season, so the top layer has been cutting up since August. Hopefully with the drainage work from last summer and then new seeding this summer it will be fine next season.
It does also look...
After a decent opening ten minutes or so from us, I thought Fleetwood went on to have the better of the chances in the first half. At least three or four very decent opportunities and on another day that goes the other way. The second half was a different story, but I think that we scored the...
For what it's worth, we have a makeshift midfield at the moment and having to play a left back in central midfield. That will still be the case next weekend with McDonnell on international duty.
Would snap your hand off for a point next weekend. We have some really tough games coming up so...
We released ours on Monday, which is incredibly early for us as I don't remember it ever coming out before the season had finished.
Existing ST holders can renew at last season's early bird price, which ranges from £340-465 for adults. Early prices for new sign-ups are from £355-£488 and then...
It's been a poor, scrappy game. The pitch doesn't help. Feels like we're struggling in the middle with a makeshift midfield and without McDonnell screening I feel we look much more suspect/vulnerable at the back. Will be pleasantly surprised if we keep a clean sheet here.
No idea what to make of our team tonight - presumably we're playing either of the full backs (Iandolo or Hunt) in central midfield which isn't ideal. Iandolo has been one of our best performers this season at left back and Hunt has been out injured since the end of October I think.
Don't fancy...
We're missing Jamie McDonnell for the next three games now due to suspension and an international call up, which is such a massive blow. It's no coincidence that our form since November started when he made it into the side, he is unbelievable and I'm sure he'll be in Forest's first team within...
Yeah, 19 years for us. Two relegations since, usually finishing lower year on year. No finals or Wembley visit since 1998 and the only time we made the play-offs nobody was allowed to go because of covid.
This game has got 1-1 all over it to me. Thought we edged the first half, but the second half has been really poor and the goal totally against the run of play. Can't keep any possession.
Better off parking in the Hollywood Bowl car park (£3), Park and Ride over the road (£3) or on a nearby estate with a ten minute walk. I'm always back home on the other side of Colchester by about 5:20ish.
Thought a point was the least that we deserved today - it felt as though 90% of the game was played in the Wimbledon half, they scored with their only opportunity of the first half and after a slow start to the second we got back on top for the rest of the game too.
If we had any faint hopes of...
Teams always (usually) start to pick up some form when it comes down to it, so PPG up until this point is often not all that relevant. Last season Sutton had 22 points from 33 games and ended up on 42, taking it to the final day. Forest Green had 23 points from 32 games and also got to 42...
Having seen many of those draws, I would have to disagree. Drawing so many games is nothing to do with 'brand' or some past reputation that I honestly don't think applies these days, we've just lacked the finishing touch in attack hence bringing in four new forwards in January in an attempt to...
