Any of you older ones on here remember Logacta.
Basically it was played with dice and there were different coloured dice to allow for league postitioning and home advantage etc.
Gave me hours of fun as a kid.
Did anyone hear of an official figure of Grimsby fans at Scunthorpe on Saturday. I know we sold our full allocation of 2090 tickets, but that doesn't always marry up with the numbers there on the day.
Had one of my most memorable awaydays at Plymouth on a Tuesday evening in 1992 in the Old (old) 2nd Division. Towards the end of the season and both teams were at the wrong end of the table so it was a big 6 pointer. Poured with rain all game and "Super" Clive Mendonca scored his first of many...
Massive game for us. We're not going up, we're not going down, so winning at Scunny is all that's left for us this season I reckon. Their fans will probably be thinking very similar.
I reckon we'll nick it 2-1. Vernam and Benson for us, with The Ginger Pig scoring for them. :bg:
We had Radio Humberside commentary on our iFollow stream. Co commentator was Rory Fallon who was very good actually and quite balanced and fair in his views.
My God, we were awful last night. I watched the game on iFollow and our defending was terrible for all 3 goals. We actually started off well and were on top for the first 20 minutes but once that first goal went in it just seemed to deflate us.
Believe it or not that's the first time we have...
Has anyone got a list of,
A Teams away followings match by match
B Average away followings for all league 2 teams
C Average followings of away teams at opponents grounds
I know these used to be be published on here every now and then throughout the season, but not seen anything recently.
Cheers
Decent game last night but my God Newport don't half know how to play the (weak) referee, falling over at every slight touch and constantly moaning.
Great to score in the first minute but then some awful defending gave them an equaliser. Brilliant free kick by Benson and a scuffer from Hanson...
Although having been to 172 different grounds in England and Wales, I have only ever been to one abroad (not including Scotland) and that was The Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. I went there the time France beat England 2-1 in the Euros when England were winning 1-0 after 90 minutes!
Yeah, I went to New Brighton Tower in December 1925 in my Model T-Ford. Took me 2 days to get there and 3 days to get back avoiding all the potholes and fighting off 2 Highwaymen on the way there and one on the way back.
We won 4-1 though so it was all worth it.
As for Middlesbrough Ironopolis...
The only 2 CLUBS I've not been to are Cardiff City and Southampton. Grounds is a bit different now with new grounds but I have been to 172 different grounds but only 72 of the current 92 90.
Colchester have done the double over Swindon already this season winning 3-0 at Swindon and 3-1 at home, they also beat them 3-0 in the EFL Cup. We recently won at Colchester so we're nailed on for an easy win obviously.
We all know that's how football works don't we. :eyes:
Glennon and Gibson still different players though. I'm fairly sure that Glennon, Clarke and Benson will all start and I'm fairly sure Grandin will too after his impressive debut on Saturday. That's almost half of the outfield 10 that'll be different so to say that it's mostly still the same...
