... To equal or better the record for longest ever losing streak in English football.

As of 17/12/2016 We (Bury) are currently on:

- 12 league defeats in a row.

- 15 defeats out of 16 in all comps

- 16 games without a win

- 23 games without a clean sheet

- The leakiest defence in the football league (45 goals conceded in the league)

Next 6 games:

Oxford (H) - L 3-2
Fleetwood (A)
Bradford (A)
Sheff Utd (H)
Scunthorpe (A)
Peterborough (H)

Can we manage to lose all 6 and officially be named the most incompetent club in history?

Can I get odds on it?

Stay tuned...

That run looks a toughie too! Really strange how polar the form at Bury has gone from the first month or two!

We (Bury) are currently on:

- 11 league defeats in a row.

- 14 defeats out of 15 in all comps

- 15 games without a win

- 21 games without a clean sheet

- The leakiest defence in the football league (42 goals conceded in the league)

- No manager, our clever chairman sacked Flitcroft (which, in fairness we all wanted), but then comes out and says he won't be replaced until next season. Leaving us with a temporary manager until the end of the season who has a staggering 18% win ratio and relegated York in 2003.

Oxford (H)
Fleetwood (A)
Bradford (A)
Sheff Utd (H)

I think you might lose them all tbh it's a tough run of fixtures. You weren't that bad a bramall lane though and I definitely though from your point of view it was definitely something to build on.

We always lose to some no-hope side who are on a cataclysmic run at home every season. Colchester last year, Yeovil the season before that, Stevenage the season before that. The bad news for Bury is they all still ended up getting relegated.

We love to accommodate teams going through just such a bit of trouble. If you're northern, shit and long ball then we won't stand any chance.

The chairman hasn't said that, merely the Bury Times has reported that it 'understands it to be the case.'
Bafflingly our chairman who normally loves promoting himself to high heaven in the media has been overly quiet, I wonder why that is?

Ah yes, Oxford is where we broke our long wait for an away win a few years back.

We tend to be rubbish against teams at the bottom of the league so Bury have a very good chance to win on Saturday.

You will beat us, do not worry about that. Luckily I won't be there to witness it as I am at a wedding.

I believe we also let Port Vale end a similar streak that stretched to about 4,000 games.

Oldham's defence is world class compared to ours.

Again don't have the exact figures but we had about 425 shots against Oldham so there physically won't be time for us to have many more against you. We just won't score.

It's almost as if Flitcroft wasn't the problem and the club is rotten at it's core.

It's Flitcrofts signings that are letting us down. But aside from that there are multiple factors attributing to our nightmare run.

We have actually scored a lot of goals this season, if we sort our defence out (Nathan Cameron back ASAP), then I'm clinging on to the faint hope we can still get out of this mess. If we have a fire sale in Jan it's over if it isn't already.

What's the deal with Bury? From what I saw earlier this season you had a half decent side. The Dale game you looked decent but disciplinary silliness cost you the game. Thought you lot would win today but not to be. Have you lot got enough to stay up or are you going to limp down?

We have scored more goals than Rochdale, Bradford and Bolton... we have our captain and key CB Nathan Cameron injured. Our attack is more than adequate, our defence is beyond abysmal. We could go down having scored 70 but conceded 100.

Granted they never lost 12 consecutive games.. but didn't P'boro have a couple of seasons where they scored about 70 but conceeeed 90 in the championship??

Today was your best chance to at least achieve a draw.

With such a difficult set of 5 fixtures against all the top of the table teams coming up it's now highly possible Bury could break the record.

Wonder what odds the bookies would give for Bury to lose their next 5 games.
Wouldn't be surprised if its low odds like even money or 2 to 1.

0-1, 3-2, 4-2 and 3-2 defeats... surely we will be on the right end soon? Tough set of games though.. Fleetwood is winnable though.

We went up from League One in 2011 having scored 106 but conceded 75.

Needless to say, Dale are far the better side and deserved the result.
