So this comes out in what, 15 minutes?

I guess most are looking forward to Sunderland away (expecting to get them on a Tuesday night)

I know on TFF there was a problem in posting fixtures on here due to rights, is this the same on 1FF?

You're not allowed to replicate the fixtures in full anywhere, you can talk about individual ones though, like opening/closing day, Christmas fixtures etc. It's a breach of copywrite otherwise.

I remember posting about 5 games with dates once on TFF, Mods had to remove it just in case

What a time to be alive!

So we got Peterborough again as the first game of the season.

Do they have no imagination?

Last season we had them at home as the first game - I think this must be something like the 4th time we've had them as the first game in 9/10 years

Boxing Day Walsall away. Have they just copy & pasted?

Bloody difficult August for us - start away at Pompey, then Sunderland at home. The games with Southend, Shrewsbury, Peterborough and WBA (cup) to complete the set.

We have 4 new teams to the league to play in the first month, so it's almost impossible to predict how that'll go! Burton, Coventry and Sunderland at home, Accrington away. Bet the Sunderland fans are thrilled they get to come here on a tuesday night - similarly us going to Plymouth!

Yeah our opening month seems really tricky, in particular those first 2 games. Away to Portsmouth and then Home to Sunderland. With the exception of the FA Cup game last season Pompey have always given us a real difficult time and of course Sunderland one of the favourites, although early in the season we might catch them still re-adjusting.

Looking at it though im expecting early pronouncements of our doom.

Our first month is fairly decent (with the exception of the annual opening drubbing from Peterborough)

I'd expect us to get a minimum of 10/15 points

Blackpool away on New Years Day the stand out fixture in our schedule. First game of the season live on Sky at home to Charlton.

So the EFL not content with just sitting back whilst Roland runs the club into the ground, they send our shambles of a depleted squad to get embarrassed live on Sky on the opening weekend.

Lovely.

Sunderland away on boxing day, that will do. Opening day Shrews away hopefully they won't be the same side of this season and we can take advantage.

Plymouth away on the last day for us is an absolute shocker.

Our game at yours for the final game of the season could get nawty if there is anything riding on it for either team.

Blackpool away on the final day has the potential to be good fun.

Scunthorpe away on Boxing Day. Cheerssss fixture list guys, Jesus.

Disappointed that Oxford and Bradford away are both on Tuesday nights too as both would have been decent sized followings on a Saturday but alas. At least Sunderland away is on a Saturday and our opening week of the season looks like something out of the PL 10 years ago which is a novel change after what felt like an eternity rattling around in non-league and L2.

Some strange ones for us. Luton at home first game. I should think the police will be pleased with that one during holiday season. There's usually a bit of an edge when we play each other and it tends to bring out some of our idiots.

Where to put the big, marquee game with Sunderland? I know - 3 days before Christmas.

Mind you, Blackpool away for game two will please a lot of people.

Wind it in now cunty.

I no doubt was going down the Valley before you and will be there long after you’re banged up on some nonce wing.

Proper weirdo you are.

Don't you think your hatred over some old Belgian is getting a bit unhealthy now?

Happy with Oxford at home, wanted a fairly mundane first fixture as I'll be on holiday for it.

Bit annoyed Rochdale and Shrewsbury, two great away days, are on Tuesday nights but other than that can't really complain.

August for us:

Gillingham (H) - we beat them 7-4 a few years back in a crazy game. Probably be 0-0 this time
Bristol Rovers (A)
Charlton (H) - really looking forward to this one
Oxford (A) - Tues night game
Blackpool (A) - really pleased we've got an away there in August

We don't play Sunderland until December - hopefully the new stand will be ready by then...

Why not have a local game on Boxing Day?

Yes, probably but my post had nothing to do with my hatred for him. It was a facetious comment about the EFL which I’m sure most sensible people would recognise.

I would like to thank you Lamby.

My contempt for Charlton was beginning to wane somewhat with Bobbin seeming to be a fairly reasonable chap and all, but everytime I read one of your posts it comes flooding back.

See, despite what everyone says about you, you do have your uses.
