The sandwich appreciation society.

We all like sarnies, here is the thread to discuss your favourite types of sarnie or if you had a particularly satisfying sarnie recently.

I had a bacon and sausage sandwich from Munjacks today (local cafe), it was at least on a par with Home Farm bakeries' variety where I usually get them from.

I had a Chicken and Bacon Ranch Melt from Subway the other day. I got it cheese and toasted with shit loads of Jalapeños on and Sweet Chilli sauce. It was a taste sensation.

I tend to find subway hit and miss, depends on the person who serves you in my experience, some of em are tight as fook with the veg and that, I mean I'm paying £5 for this thing, I want it to be jam packed with fresh fillings every time.

I recently tried peanut butter and jelly (sunpat and hartley's jam to be exact) and it was surprisingly tasty.

Nah, just ask for more. The veg is free anyway so I always ask for extra.

Two slices of Kingsmill bread with 3 rashers of bacon in the middle and then drenched with HP sauce - 9/10*. If you've yet to try it members of 1FF, it comes with my own personal seal of approval.

Doesn't get full marks as there was slightly too much fat on the bacon for my liking.

Breaded ham and extra mature Cathedral City cut as thick as a doorstop in a fresh crusty loaf. No butter, no pickle, no salad. A cup of tea and packet of Flame Grilled Steak McCoys on the side. Perfection.
I cannot stop laughing!

Strangely enough I have too. So annoying that McDonalds is on the walk home from town after a night out

My first one was better also as last night I chatted to my flatmate for about an hour when I got home before eating it so it was cold :tw:

But anyway. I get stick for really enjoying a good tuna sandwich. Might not be as wacky or 'exciting' as other ingredients but a good one with some crisps to add some texture is really good.

On the subject of fish sarnies I had a salmon salad one for supper last night, well I say salad but it was just lettuce and red onion really. It was tinned salmon by the way, nowt posh. Made on a wholemeal teacake.

Oh and there's a cracking deli just on the corner of where I live so I often pop in and get one from in there. Usually cajun chicken salad with mayo on a brown crusty baguette. Seriously good...proper big chunks of chicken not little sliced bitesize bits.

Funny you should bump this Jimmy. Just got back from the 8oz Burger company where I had a 'pig out' burger, all meat and no cheat as it's advertised. 8oz pattie with bacon, sausage and chorizo topped off with salad and dirty mayo. 10/10.

Hoisin Duck Wrap - 2/10

The twat at Waitrose who made it clearly had a case of the shakes when adding the cloves. Tasted like I'd necked some dodgy medicine.

Proper bread. Legitimate loaf. Real rolls. Definite dough. Pukka pain. Authentic anadama.

Accept no substitute.

Have a sausage and mushroom sandwich nearly every day. Eat it that much it's become a part of me.

Had a subway. Chicken teriyaki with pickled gherkins, red onions and green peppers topped off with sweet onion sauce and served on hearty Italian. Foot long, double points on the old loyalty card there.

I had a marmite sandwich for lunch today. You either love it or you hate it... I love the stuff and the bread was decent as well. Solid 8/10.

Had a chicken ceasar wrap thing from Sainsburys today. It was shite.

The wrap was soggy and stuck to the cardboard packaging. And it tasted like some sort of cleaning product.

Still munched it though. I missed breakfast and felt weak as fuck by dinner time, so I had to, or I probably would've starved to death.

Can't go wrong with a bit of Marmite, mate.

Especially when it's spread thinly on buttery toasted brown bread.
