Massive game between Portsmouth and Charlton tommorow. I was really dreading this game a few week ago as we were so out of form and confidence it looks like a battering. We have now won 5 out of the last 6 matches in all competitions. Top scorers in the league now.. Front 4 are playing really well as we've got from a 1 up top to 3 in behind to a move 442 with Harness as a free roaming forward, but the two wingers and two forwards seem to be swapping around alot. Charlton are our bogey side and always cause us a ton of problems. Hoping that having to rearrange their midfield and CBs will help us. A draw wouldn't be terrible. If we can get in front I think we'll win most matches as we have alot of pace on the counter at the moment. I'll go for a 3-1 win. Marquis to get another brace... Shaun Raggett will need to cut out his mistakes when he has the ball at his feet at the back as he tends to try and overplay and gets caught out.

The side will no doubt be the same as the Northampton game.

GK - MacGillveray

RB - Callum Johnson
CB - Jack Whatmough
CB - Shaun Raggett
LB - Lee Brown

RW - Ryan Williams
CM - Tom Naylor
CM - Andy Cannon
LW - Ronan Curtis

CF - Marcus Harness
CF - John Marquis

Yes indeed, Charlton have beaten us by the odd goal in the last three match ups.

Both teams in great form at the moment. I'll go with a 1-1 to break the sequence and will be fairly happy with that. Wouldn't turn down a win though.

The mighty chimps are away at Donny. We've had a few tough looking games recently (Fleetwood, Ipswich, Plymouth, Crewe) and have generally tried to keep our expectations grounded... and have posted four clean sheets on the trot and ten points. So, I'm going to predict a draw to keep that going.

The first 60 minutes at Crewe on Tuesday was (no exaggeration) the best Lincoln football within living memory. We should have been 4 or 5 up at half time. Let's hope we can reproduce that. If Donny try and play we should stand a good chance; we found it harder at Crewe when they started to lump it forwards.

I see that Darren Moore was Appleton's coach back at WBA. Moore seems like a decent man, and they should have plenty of respect for each other. We've had lots of whining from away managers of late.

Darren doesn’t whine, he has however got his tactics wrong in the last two games, not sure how we will lineup or if any of the 4 missing will be back. Expecting to get beat.

Home to Hull. Fully expect a bit of a spanking but will be interesting as we haven’t played for ages and they have played a lot so I theory we should be quite fresh.

Not sure if that will make a difference unless we have learned how to defend properly since our last game!

Away to Fleetwood. If Joey Barton sets his side up to kick it at least once somewhere in the region of our goal at any point, they will win.

Having Inniss suspended and Doughty injured is a big blow for us.

Expecting a defeat so will take a draw all day long.

Tomorrow's visitors are Bristol Rovers, who seem to have played many of the same teams as us with similar results (beat Shrews, drew with Sunderland, lost to Ipswich and Hull). On the slim grounds that we beat Burton while they drew, I'll go for a home win, hopefully with a goal for Jake Beesley.

Edit - Dale unchanged, Nicholson replaces McCormick for The Gas. Forgot they'd signed Ehmer from Gills - very solid defender.

Dont be fooled by Oxford's lowly position, expect more than a tough game tomorrow. They are in a false position for sure and have have everything to gain with nothing to lose. Like to see McKay/Saunders start, still a bit soon for Jordan Rositter but when he does return it will be like signing a new player
Be delighted with a narrow win

Another good test for us tomorrow at Donny.

Given MA's comments today, I think we're looking forward to a league break to give some of the players a chance to have a 10 day rest after a busy start to the season and starting to carry a few niggles.

We're without Bridcutt so Grant will probably deputise in his position again. Morton can't be too far away from starting back in training. No sign of Melbourne yet either.

How's John-Jules done, Donny fans?

That's very nice of you to say so!

Joking aside, you have nothing to worry about. Enjoy the win!

Ipswich away for us, another tough game to what has been a tough start to the season. This will be Lincoln, Hull, Sunderland, Charlton and Ipswich played already.

Injured, scored the goal of the month against Charlton but got injured the next game not seen since. Also without Tulloch, Gomes and Richards so we are short in the attacking third.

Wigan today, and after a run of games against teams in the top 8, a chance to turn the form around.

Very even first half, Lincoln are a good side but we’ve more than matched them and what a strike from Whiteman to put us in front

Surprisingly 1-1 at HT. After looking all over the place at the back we’ve been the better team after equalising.

We’ll still fuck it up by FT with another goal sponsored by Comedy Capers.

Great strike! Donny deservedly ahead, not been at our fluent best.

Bad news prior to kick off with Joe Walsh needing a knee operation and could be out for 3 months. He's been fantastic since coming in and leaves us with 2 senior CB's.

I think we’ve just stifled you, pressed really well and not allowed you to get behind us

Doncaster 1-0 winners - great strike - bit of quality to edge the game.

Overall I think Doncaster deserved that, we just weren't at it and missed Bridcutt who is a magnet for those second balls especially against Whiteman.

Game deserved a big attendance - shame.

Tough game on Tuesday at home to Portsmouth.

Still conceding two goals a game, but fortunately we did enough going forward to take the 3 points and takes some pressure off. Doing what we need to do really by taking the 3 points from the teams around and below us. Don't think either ourselves or Wigan are keeping any clean sheets any time soon though.
