Am i alone in hating the scourge of the terraces which has appeared since the New year? Lads and lasses all 92 clubs probably sing this boring dirge, it,s not big and it,s not clever. On saturday 17,000 Bradfud fans were rejoicing in singing it and clapping along, to be joined at the same time by the losers in our end substituting the words Bradfud for Vale. If it has to be sung at all it should only be away fans anyway singing it surely? Saturday was cringeworthy from both sets, i HATE that song. Rant over.

I absolutely hate the fucking song, our fans seem to have sang it since Chelsea last season and haven't bloody stopped. Even Spurs started singing it aswell last season, such a shite crappy song.

Decent when sung in the thousands, not so much so when you've got 30 teenie-boppers behind the goal in a open terrace.

I don't mind it - beats sitting there in complete silence which is something else i've also witnessed up and down the country. Any bnoise is better than no noise.

Agree a lot of clubs sing the same sort of songs nowaday - it's in our repertoir also but we do have some less common ones too so don't really mind the balance.

It's completely shit. As well as that allez allez oh song.

There's not enough originality, Everton's song for John Stones recently to the tune of The Beatles is great.

Agree i hate generic boring rubbish. Sadly 95% of the chants that fans chant are like this now.

E I E I E I O is timeless.

I'm wondering if he's on about the same song. I agree with you Alex on this one...great song. This isn't some modern football european nonsense, I remember this being sung in the early 90's. I started watching the Vale in 85 aged 3, so can't remember whether it was sung in the 80's, but it's a classic.

Everywhere we go is rubbish. We started the tune with Super Vale Away, which a group of our fans brought back from a trip to Hamburg. It's been done to death in the last few years. We should abandon it now and get some of the older (retro) songs back. We used to have s**t loads from the old Bycars terraced days. Now all our fans sing is, Vale, Vale, Vale in a few different tones. Pisses me off. It's all the kids that are devoid of any kind of imagination or originality. They try to sing the wonder of you in record time and just ruin it. Stoke kids do the same with Delilah. Great song, but sounds shit when it's rushed. At home to Preston was the best atmoshpere down the Vale last season, loads of the older lads in the Railway Stand singing all the classics. The kids at the front in the paddock hadn't got a clue what was going on.

Like freeky says, hate that "like it" song Crystal Palace sing. Makes me cringe. I've heard it creeping into a few England matches recently....GET OUT!!

Is there a set of supporters who have not sung 'everywhere we go'?

Quite frustrating with our supporters as we have a decent list of original songs, which have been pushed back and replaced by these more generic songs.
Twist and Shout is the next song which will be used by everyone, for many years just us and West Ham have used it, but its popping up everywhere these days.

I'm glad we don't participate in this bullshit. The cringeworthy side to football in terms of factors such as 'Everywhere We Go' and Goal Music we thankfully didn't partake in it.

We still have a few shit songs though - apart from one stand at AG, the other two (at the moment, anyway) are only capable of giving a 'Come On You Reds' in a dull tone when we win a corner or an exciting passage of play takes place.

I dont mind EIEIO, but everywhere we go is shit. Reminds me of a kids summer camp I used to go to and we'd sing it on our way to the swimming pool, I hated the camp and swimming and that song. Now just the song remains in my life. Fuck that song and the people that sing it. They should be castrated, made into eunuchs so their voices are so high they're embarrased to sing it anywhere other than a choir.

wait I think I'm on about a different everywhere we go...the everywhere we go (people alwasy ask us) where we come from etc. etc. is the one I hate. The other everywhere we go is decent when theres a decent crowd singing it.

How come you didn’t just delete your ramblings about the wrong “Everywhere we go” song on your band camp exploits and just say “I like it when there’s a decent crowd that do it”?

Reading that was like you were actually talking to yourself…

Yeah, this. Don't particularly like it, and hate how every club seems to sing the same songs nowadays. However, it is the sort of song that everyone joins in with, and not just the ones who are noisy anyway. If it's a quiet game and there's a song that can get 95% of the crowd joining in then that's got to be better than silence, even if it would be better if it was something else.

I remember Everywhere We Go being sung decades ago. But there were complaints because of perceived racist content.
I admit I always thought it started with us and was specifically aimed at our then owners, the Bhatti Brothers, implying they thought they were running a convenience store. Hence the racism allegations.....

Allez allez oh, everywhere we go etc are so shit. Made worse by the fact it's only the 50 or so teenagers who sing it cause the adults/older fans aren't familiar with it and so refuse to take part, thank fuck.

Our fans don't seem to sing the "everywhere you go" but sing "allez allez oh" constantly.

"Super Oldham" deserves a mention for worst chant.
