It is a sunny, cloudy, windy, dry, rainy, blooming cold, four seasons in a day down here in the tropical south. Looking forward to this, game two of playing the top three. Will be a challenge, not sure we have come out of January as strong as we came into it, primarily in midfield and our centre back pairing. Not the best of times to come up against Dack, if we handle him we have a chance if not, could be the sort of day to linger over one’s pasty.

I know stadia can even out the wind a bit, but it is blustering and swirling which may well affect the quality of play, but I hope not.

Should be 11-12k attending today which is always nice.

Well, that was enjoyable. We were good value for that, and in truth we were the better team and deserved our victory. Blackburn, players and fans, looked shellshocked, I guess this was not in the script.

Dack is clearly a player and was a handful in the first half, but Fox sat on him and he did not get enough space and time. And as the game went on he got frustrated and got booked, and with a ref like this who has cautioned and sent off a lot this year, he might have got a second yellow. Williams and Bennett looked useful, but Graham was subbed at halftime, presumably because he was getting nowhere. It was good to see a decent away turnout, which must have been about 1,100 or so, but they were rather quiet for most of the game.

Sarcevic had his best game for us, and he Carey and Lamerias bossed the midfield and this was the key difference.

Be interested to see how Blackburn fans saw it, as you always get a different perspective.

First time ever I have seen the subs sprint off, so fair play to them.

Generally think majority of the Blackburn fans on here are fairly well rounded and will appreciate that they came up against a side in great form who were better than them today.

Good teams don’t often play poorly unless they come up against a side who have sussed them out and I believe that we did that today.

What a long way we have come since we were bottom. Paul Cook said we were the best side Wigan had played the other day, maybe just maybe we’ll be the team that has a good end of season run this year.

I’d still take 14th though!

I meant Nyambe not Williams who played well.

Agree PG. One side always comes from nowhere. It could be us. Let’s see how we do against Salop next week.

I think Adams struggled to work out this league, but things are beginning to come together.

The BRFC forum has been in Meltdown and even "Sack the Manager" calls have gone out now the 18 game unbeaten run has come to a grinding halt.

Current form tables have us finishing in 6th, but it would be that easy. Think we will end up 8th, and in a great position to bolter for next season.

Yes I went on there too. The theme seemed to be that by playing Conway instead of Payne they had lost before a ball was kicked. That anything we did was irrelevant, that it was all down to Mowbray. While some clearly recognised that the best team won, an awful lot came across as deluded. Maybe they should have read Cook’s comments after the Wigan game.

By the way, Rovers fans is the rumour true that in a shoot or bust move you are spending way more more than 100 per cent of your income?

Sounds like the best team won yesterday so well played. A lot of our fans couldn't understand why Conway was preferred to Payne, but I don't think 1 player would have changed much.
And yeah some of our lot need a reality check we've just gone 18 unbeaten ffs.
As for our finances, we've been out of control for several years now.

Didn't go yesterday so can't really comment on the game personally but mates who went said that we just couldn't get the ball moving how we like to and it cost us against an in-form side. Any fans saying Mowbray out are either retarded or looking for bites, or a combination of the two.

It's been that way for years, Venky's have well and truly fucked us.

So I guess the question is, if you don’t go up this year, is that it for you or will you still be able to survive?

It's difficult to predict. Venky's invested heavily 5 years ago in our first season in the Championship, but mostly on poor signings and we almost ended up going down again. Between then and last summer they've not really invested much in players (though we were transfer embargoed for a while), so if we don't go up and they do the same again...I can't see us being promoted out of here ever, the only way would be down in my opinion. We'd probably survive as a club but a mere shell of what we were 8 years ago.

Thanks, that does suggest that you are rolling the dice, but that you are not breaking the bank to do so.
