It's the Emirates. We have won there once in the league since it opened in 2006. I'd be happy with a draw.

2-1 Arsenal.

My guess would be 2-2. We're a bit ropey at home at the moment, as is the Liverpool defence. A few goals in this game.

Neither team has looked very good so far but I'd expect Arsenal's quality to be enough to see Liverpool off at home. Benteke might have a bit of fun with their defence, though.

I think Arsenal will shit all over Liverpool. 3-0. Bare in mind I thought this was going to be the score vs West Ham.

I think Liverpool will win quiet easily and Wenger will cry.

Close game but Arsenal will prevail I'm afraid. 2 - 1 to the Gunners.

The clash that divides... twitter.

Depends on how we line up. Can definitely come away with something.

2-1 for Arsenal. The West Ham result was disheartening, but I'll remain optimistic. We've created more chances and taken more shots than any team in the league in the first two matches (we really are a striker away). The momentum from our wonderful pre-season dissipated at the Emirates and our crowd/atmosphere is shit when things aren't in dreamworld, but that negativity is lessened against bigger sides. I think Liverpool are a quality side and improved from last season, but I expect a big performance threatened by a latish consolation goal. Alexis, Özil, and Firmino with the goals.

It wonder if Rodgers plays Can or Lucas because a Henderson - Milner pairing deep will be no match for Özil, Ramsey, and Cazorla. I'd prefer Wenger dropped one of Cazorla/Ramsey and played Oxlade-Chamberlain.

I expect Arsenal to win. We are quite not where we want to be in order to demolish them 5-1.

Wonderful analysis of Benteke's goal by Rodgers.

As someone with an interest in Liverpool I'm fearing the worst tonight. We've put in some shocking performances at the Emirates in recent seasons and we'll certainly need to play much, much better than we have done against Stoke and Bournemouth to get anything out the game. That said, I do think Benteke will give them problems and it's up to the likes of Coutinho and Lallana to make an impact. The latter is such a frustrating player in that he has plenty of ability but doesn't show it on a regular basis anywhere like near enough. Coutinho is a magician and our best player, it's now time he showed his class in the biggest games away from Anfield.

Heart say's an entertaining 2-2 draw, head say's a comfortable 3-1 win for the Gooners.

I'm hoping we started Theo or Ox tonight. Liverpool aren't blessed with pacey wide players so I can see them trying to pack the middle which could make them difficult to break down. I can see Wenger starting Ramsey on the right though, which to be fair would give us the same team that smashed them here last season (I think)

A win is a bonus, draw would be a good result. However, if we start Lallana we don't even stand a chance.

Apparently our line up today:
Mignolet
Clyne - Skrtel - Lovren - Gomez
Lucas
Can - Milner
Coutinho
Benteke - Firmino

Henderson will be a miss.

I think this is an ideal match to give Theo a chance as the CF. His presence will force Liverpool to defend deeper and give more space to Özil, Ramsey, Cazorla, and Alexis to exploit Lucas, Can, and Milner. Henderson is a big miss for them.

Alternatively, I'd like Gomez vs. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Bellerin if Giroud starts as the CF. If Theo starts, Oxlade-Chamberlain wouldn't and Ramsey would be on the right.

Looks decent to me that. Henderson is a miss but hopefully Can can find some of the form he showed earlier on last season in his apparent favourite position. Surprised to see Lucas starting after his apparent falling out with Rodgers and not really being a part of his plans. He'll need to do a job for us tonight that's for sure.

Agreed. Unfortunately the way he has started the season he has been poor; if he plays tonight and badly, its a waste of a body on the pitch and there cannot afford to be any dead wood if they are to get anything.
