Poor first half, got better in the second but still looked shaky defensively. Özil was a level above anybody else on the pitch today. Monreal and Cech were also good.

Although the performance could have been better, with the results of our rivals this is a very good result.

That's overplaying it isn't it? They still have £40+mill Ozil in his preferred position, Oxlade Chamberlain, Giroud up front. Ramsey in the mid and a fully fit back 4. Yesterday if Ramsey for Cazorla is a straight swap, then Arsenal were only short of Sanchez and Coq. If that changes them from being title challengers to a team that considers a win against any side as great then they're not really anywhere close to being genuine title challengers.

If that changes them from being title challengers to a team that considers a win against any side as great then they're not really anywhere close to being genuine title challengers.

Coq has been one of our most important players defencively, and Alexis the same offensively. We just don't have the back up capable of filling their shoes. City showed yesterday that their backups don't have the quality either. So that rules out City and Arsenal for genuine title contenders. So I guess its between Leicester and Man Utd?

I wasn't saying that. I was saying that a club like Arsenal with your squad even with injuries to big players should not be thankful when it comes to results against smaller sides.
If you were coming up against Bayern, or Man City, Or Man Utd or whoever then yeah you can say that you'd feel happy to take something from the games because you aren't fielding your best 11 thanks to injuries, but Arsenals best 7 or 8, with 3 or 4 bench players/squaddies should still have more than enough for the majority of sides in the league. So 'any win against any team is great' is pretty OTT isn't it. Isn't Arsenals side without Sanchez, Ozil, Kosc and Cech still a better side than a full strength Newcastle, Bournemouth, Villa, Sunderland etc?

It is and we should have won that game more comfortably. However it might have something to do with Ox and Ramsey not being match fit yet?

Despite that we've been in poor form last month regardless of who's played. Maybe it's tiredness, but I can't help but look at November see a massive opportunity missed to get some distance between ourselves and the two Manchester clubs.

Personally I think part of our issue is that while Giroud is our best striker, he doesn't bring out the best in Cazorla, Ozil and Sanchez. The best person leading the line for them (at Arsenal at least) is Walcott. With two out of our three best players injured, I find it cruelly ironic that Walcott is now back fit.

Despite the victory with three goals and all the four goals from Arsenal players the match didn't seem that easy for Arsenal. Anyway Ozil is in a good moment.

we are jaded Arsenal fans and don't want to big up the team. Yeah, we should probably be winning every game, but the premier league is tough. Being without 3 of our best players does count for a lot, if Cech was out we would be in 4th or 5th.
