Arsenal on the opening day always has the capacity for a shock but I think this is a nice opening match for them. West Ham will take a while to gel and I'm not convinced in Bilic anyway. I'd say a fairly comfortable start for Arsenal by 2 or 3 goals.

The line-up was obviously going to have Tomkins in for Jenkinson and play narrow across the middle, surprised to see Oxford entrusted but I like a manager who plays youth and keeping Nolan out of the team brings me joy as well.

I'll be honest and keep the same prediction. I thought Arsenal would (and still do) win rather convincingly. It's a cliche, but they really are one top striker away from challenging for the title.
