If you think we look ridiculously isolated now, imagine how things would look in the fairly plausible scenario where Mansfield, Crewe, Vale and Chesterfield go up to League One to be replaced by Plymouth, Wimbledon, Southend and Gillingham, meanwhile Morecambe and Accy go down to be replaced by Orient and Dover

Isn't it about time you joined the Scottish system with Berwick anyway? We've all had enough of getting stuck on the A1 or M6.

The link in your email don't work either. :)

Photobucket have blocked hotlinking on other websites unless you pay an extortionate amount to upgrade your account. Use imgur or something like that to host whatever the image is.

I used tinypic, hopefully everyone's not gone.

The problem is that it worked at first and it was only after a minute or two that photobucket replaced the image with the error cannot hotlink one, wouldn't have been such an issue if it had prevented me linking it right away.

Leave it to keep the pedants busy. So the circles for each town represent size of population?
Average attendance.

I don't like cluttering things up with legends and like to design maps that have self-evident meaning (at least to people with prior knowledge of the topic), so I was interested in seeing whether it was clear what the sizes of the circles meant from just looking at it.

Surely you must be delighted that we have gone?
Yes and no. It's a long trip for us, but then it's a long trip for everyone (besides Exeter and possibly Yeovil) Now there are very few long trips in this division that don't involve us. Might work in our favour, or might not (course Exeter could say the same). Meanwhile we might not have to make the longest trip of all, but we still have to make a long trip virtually every other week.

Could be more of a ball-ache for you in League One, just you and Brizzle Rovers there from the south-west is it?

Obvious now you say. Luton won't have twice the population of Cambridge I expect, not that I can be arsed to check.

Any situation where Morecambe and Accy go down and no new Northern teams join the division would be an absolute nightmare for us.

Yes only Brizzle and at a push Swindon are in our region, with Pompey almost. The locus on league 1 feels a fraction more northern than league 2.

Might do one for League One now.

I know that Portsmouth is a bit of a shlep from Plymouth through the experience of a friend of mine who got a ferry from Portsmouth to Spain, leaving his car at the port and then found a cheaper ferry back to Plymouth, assuming there would be a train line along the south coast he could just jump on back to Portsmouth to get his car... not so much.

Also do the size of the pins relate to how MASSIVE each club is?

I was going to but even on a logarithmic scale, TOWN were just completely out of scale with everything else, and I had to zoom out so far you could see Denmark. It was unworkable.
It's okay because you got Mansfield right. They are very cute.

NL is terrible this season with an obvious north/south divide. Would have been a mare for us and no local games!
