There seem more than ever before, here are the ones I think are truly bankrolled;

Edit; My definition of bankrolled is any club that receives substantial financial and regular support from its chairman, an investor or board, plus parachute payments that existing non league clubs dont get.

NL
FGR - bankrolled by swampy £6m and counting !
Eastleigh - by "the vision"
Gateshead - by its new owner
Barrow - by its millionaire american owner and former fan
Dover - by its chairman £2m in 3 years?
Boringwood - Must be bankrolled on crowds of a few hundred and paying more for players than bigger clubs
Dagenham - New owners about to spend £1m plus
York - been bankrolled for years by its chairman plus parachute payments this year
Tranmere - by parachute payments
Guiseley - Well run and funded for a club of its size by its directors for some years

NLN
Fylde - by Haythornthwaite
Harrogate - by Weaver snr
Salford - by ex MUFC players

NLS
I dont know much about them

Please feel free to edit/add to list from your own knowledge.

NLS you had Whitehawk bankrolled to where they are now, not so sure they are continuing to overspend. Also Margate had a lottery winning fan as their moneyman, don't think he's there anymore though.

Margate have had mass cuts according to Nikki Bull.

Margate's ex-chairman didn't win the lottery, he's a successful businessman (in what, who knows?) who put £2.5 million into the club during his short tenure at the club. There is still someone backing the club though when you lack at the calibre of the signings they have made, despite budget cuts I imagine they'll be one of the top payers in the league.

Ebbsfleet still have the Kuwaiti backers behind them.

Edit: Isn't just about every non-league club bankrolled though? There are probably a handful of the hundreds of clubs who are self-sustainable.

Not sure you can really describe us as being bankrolled on the basis of a 2nd year parachute payment. From what I can remember it'll be in the region of £90k compared to York and Daggers who'll each pick up around £530k.

Oh really? Fair enough... I thought I read from the Margate fan who used to (rarely) post on TFF that he was a lottery winner.

This is the first time ever than Dagenham have been considered as being bankrolled.

I think you're confusing bankrolled with 'not skint'.

It all depends on what you define as bankrolled, as alluded to in the opening post.

I'd be more interested to see the number of clubs that are actually self-sustaining without any external input (that includes overly generous sponsorship deals from the companies that are connected to the board members)...

Most are, it's just to what extent. Certain clubs, we all know who, are inflated well above their worth and stand out like a sore thumb.

As just mentioned, it would be interesting to see the well run clubs who live within their means. In the top tier, Us and Wrexham are the only two fan owned clubs.

Yeah...err.....we're not bankrolled. We're seeking new investment because we're more potless than ever allegedly.

And the £1m+ you've quoted is a proposed figure put forward by a bloke who none of us are sure about, invested across a period of five years which most likely would not affect the playing budget.

So yeah, as you were.

Chester/Wrexham are to me classic fan owned/run non league clubs.
As of course are Alty, which has no debt, no directors loans, no investors and spends only what it earns from football related activities.

I think you'd be very hard-pushed to call our second year parachute payment 'substantial'. To all intents and purposes, it's bugger all... we're hardly bankrolled.

Wrexham are fan owned? I'm surprised they don't bring it up more often, in that case.

I think you'll find that Wrexham aren't fan-owned, although there is a fan-owned element to their ownership model. They are in hock to the University to a large extent. Could Wrexham fans confirm or deny that they get help from the Welsh Assembly. It's widely said they do on Deva Chat, but DC is full of trolls, Wums and idiots and anything said on there is probably untrue.

We are solely fan owned . No Welsh Assemby Funding or any external investment.

The university previously allowed us the stadium on a decent rate but now we have a long lease and it'll reportedly cost £200,000 to run in the first season . So we aren't getting any favours there anymore either . We pay our way .

Despite that we've still managed to ring fence the playing budget of £655k for the coming season due to the higher than expected crowds last season (4,600)

We are the most self sufficient club in this division. I more than most would love us to be 'bankrolled' so I'm not being sanctimonious . Just stating it as I see it !

That's a nice reply to what might have been viewed as a contentious post by me. You don't get that on Deva Chat ... only abuse.

I can't remember if Woking are bankrolled or not, if only there was a Woking fan on here who knows what their budget is for this year then we would know.......
