Can't see where a win is coming from. No doubt we'll stick with the diamond formation with Routis and McMahon starting.

3-1 Barnsley.

P.S Hello Craig.

Most importantly, our away following could be pitfall

Barnsley should walk this, 3-0 a par score for them although I'm going to this for some reason and that one blind faith percent in me says we could pull off a shock win*

* win is dependent on PP waking up to the fact that everything he's implemented so far this season has been utter crap - getting Liddle back in midfield, not having Routis within a million miles of the squad, not playing this unbelievably awful diamond formation, not being so negative, not hoofing for 90 minutes, not blowing a 1-0 half time lead and starting Brad Jones instead of Williams, etc.

To be honest, this is a game that we'll probably end up winning.

2-0 Barnsley.

Although we've won our last two (three including penalties in the cup) we weren't great against Burton and needed a last minute winner against a team low on confidence last night. Our defence still looks a bit iffy at times and we'd struggled to create chances in games before last night, but we are building up a tiny bit of momentum and there's no reason we can't make it three wins in a row Saturday. I'm working so won't be attending but hopefully it'll be a good game and we'll get another 3 points. Thought Bradford might have started a bit better than they have done but it's early days.

Stop getting my hopes up for the weekend. He'll still put Routis in the first team despite being injured, Hanson at fucking centre back and Brad Jones on the left wing.

But yes, I like the look of your team. Both of our loan signings sound quite promising. Just hope we play them!

Don't ask me why, but I fancy going to this. I assume I can pay on the gate to get in the home end? (preferably that nice big one on the side)

Yeah, for best view of the pitch go in the upper east stand.

Should warn you it's not cheap on the day. £27 in the East Stand upper, scandalous so hope it's a good game for your sake. £25 in the Ponty End (behind the goal)

Very attacking starting XI for today, of which makes a refreshing change. Also, NO diamond formation.

I had a decent day out but boy, that was a shite game.

Barnsley were completely toothless. It's all well and good trying to play pretty football but what's the point if you can't create a chance at home until the 92nd minute? And that only came from a long throw. Winnall was completely isolated up top and although Crowley tried, there's not a great deal you can do when the rest of your midfield are content passing it from side to side and aren't prepared to break through into the final third. There's far too many "safety first" players in that side - you know the type, the full backs who cut back when receiving the ball and pass it back to the midfielder because they're too afraid to beat their man, and midfielders who are afraid themselves of crossing the half way line and attempting to break forward.

Bradford weren't a great deal better, but at least their direct style of play created some trouble for Barnsley - especially in the second half. I don't think the hosts could have complained had Bradford snatched one late on, they were the only side looking likely to score.

As for Oakwell, it's a really nice ground and it makes a nice change to have a stadium located right at the heart of the town. The old stand does stick out a bit, but it's quirky and different. The atmosphere among the home fans was virtually non-existent, but to their credit they were incredibly patient with their ineffective style of play. Bradford fans were very good, but I expected that anyway!

Not a great performance from us, shaded the first half but not in it at all in the second. Would've been very harsh on Bradford had Mawson's header gone in at the death and you should have scored when Davies/Hanson whoever it was went clean through. Thought you looked a solid side, a bit one dimensional at first but when Anderson and Marshall came into the game you looked a real threat. Don't know if you'll be top 6 but you're a lot better than your position in the table suggests. Your fans made some good noise too, although I thought you'd manage at least 2,000.

Edit to say you've summed us up perfectly there GodsGift, we were far too cautious after half time and it was frustrating seeing Winnall cut off up front and our talented midfield not have anyone to play a forward pass to.

Well an improvement on Tuesday although we couldn't have been much worse. The text book 0-0 that you can see coming from early on.
An even first half from two toothless teams, neither keeper had much to do. We had most of the ball second half but Davies blew a great one on one which just about summed up the game. A point away at Oakwell is a good one however so I can't complain too much.
