Friday night under the lights at the lane in the red corner from Accrington it's @AndyhHolt and in the black and white corner it's @Bigalanh5 in a winner goes top clash.

Yes it's early but after both sides wins against decent opposition I'm sure Accrington fans are looking forward to this clash as well. Will be a tough game Coleman is one of the most under rated managers in the country and Accrington are always well organised and tough to beat. Think a draw looks most likely.

Accrington have become a bit of a bogey team for us, we're due a win against them but we'll have to play well to do it.
Forte really ought to be starting this one.

Coleman always ends up arguing with the old lads in the Pavis so I enjoy his visits.

Probably go to this and keep up my 100% league home attendance - or will go straight home if Stead is in the team.

Nolan, a rubbish manager - unchanged team.

Me, an intelligent football expert - Collin, Tootle, Brisley, Duffy, Jones, Yates, Milsom, Alessandra, Grant, Hawkridge, Forte.

You're right our chairman Andy Holt likes a good twitter debate - including getting a bite from the Premier League about money handed down.
Looking forward to visiting although we're unpredictable - losing to Yeovil but then beating Mansfield.

As for Coleman arguing with the County fans I remember a group of us getting into one with your old manager Steve Thompson when he got sent from the dugout - I wonder what's happened to him??

Thompson hasn't managed for over 10 years, last I heard he was helping commentate for Radio Lincoln. Oh and I shuddered when I saw you had wrote his name.

Accrington always beat us at home. Sure they were even the only team to win at ML the year we won the league.

Rumour has it that Thompson was working as a labourer on a building site (while also co-commentating on Radion Lincolnshire) before we appointed him and probably went straight back when we sacked him. Although he did actually managed our best finish of the Trust years.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Forte coming in for Stead as the only change. Stead is out of form and Ameobi needs a goal poacher type alongside him. Wouldn't mind seeing Milsom back in myself but I expect KN wants to give Hewitt a proper run in the team.

Thommo is still the summariser of BBC Lincs, and has had several occupations including labourer and pub landlord. He's applied for the Lincoln job pretty much every time it is vacant but keeps getting knocked back. There used to be a regular joke on Vitals about him having stacks of CVs in his spare room, all in envelopes addressed to Bob Dorrian ready to send off next time we sack the manager.

To be fair he got behind the Cowleys, but there were times when we were managed by Tilson, Holdsworth, Simpson etc and we were dreadful, that he was pretty much doing an interview on air. He's been out of the game for years so no reason he should get the job; if the criteria is watching us every week, then there's a few thousand others who have the same qualification but there's no chance I'd want any of them managing us either...

Will never forget his "if the ref was on fire I'd dial 998!" Rant. The cheapest manager we could find at the time the dismay when he was unveiled was only smashed out of the park with the appointment years later of Fullerton.

Thompson loves to tell everyone he guided Sheffield United to the PO's and FA Cup SF, but I'm pretty sure he was only appointed very late on in that season!

"As you know, Michael, I used to be a football manager, and...". That line is like Uncle Albert's "During the war..." line.

Accrington are underrated. They remind me of Dag and Red under Jon Still when they first got promoted. Pick up decent signings that no one really notices and get the best out of other peoples cast offs / non league no ones.

I am pretty sure Stead will start. Nolan loves John Stead like a fatty loves a pie. It seems Nolan and Forte don't like each other, but Forte actually looks like and is scoring.

Good comeback from Accy, getting a point after being 2-0 down. Bet County are fuming though, can't be letting points slip away at home like that.

Not really sure how we've contrived to draw that. Part awful refereeing decision for Tootle's red, part not getting a sub on quick enough, but mostly missing a million chances to finish it off at 2-1.

Grant is the best player in the league which should give us a chance, but we can't keep getting in front in games and then shitting ourselves.

We did the same last week against Wycombe but with them leveling in the 2,000th minute we had no chance of a repeat. KN is still sticking to Stead over his not so favourite Forte.
Some pundits say that this is a top 7 class (as in at the end of the season) and that Stanley play better in larger grounds, hopefully we will get at least a point at their place then!

Fail up next away :nw:

He is and we a actually put money on the table for Forest and they gave him another 3 years. If we have any chance in the future we need to be a division higher.

Looking at the highlights on Sky, that was a soft penalty on Stead. Danny Hylton would have been proud of how he went down.
If the ref gives a soft penalty like that, then he has to give the foul on Jackson as one for Accy later on.
Apparently Tootle's first yellow came from timewasting.....hanging onto a lead against 10 men, trying to run down the clock seems to have been Clownty's downfall.
Accy could have won it at the death too, pity they didn't as it looks like the referee hasn't helped them at all

I thought it was a soft penalty too, both at the time and on replay. I think that Tootle's red card (particularly the first yellow - for 'kicking the ball away' I believe, he tapped it about a yard) was incredibly harsh and that there was a foul on Duffy in the build up to the equaliser though, so swings and roundabouts.

Our downfall wasn't hanging onto a lead and trying to run down the clock, it was missing the hatful of chances that we created at 2-1. Their 'keeper made some fantastic saves but really it should've been 4 or 5-1 and all over by the time that Tootle got sent off and gave them a chance at the end.

Notts county with the best player in me league, yes, yes of course :fl:

Trust me, Grant is the best player in the league. He'd start for any League One team and is only really here because of an accident of geography. We've got no one else of any real note, though, so you should be alright. ;)

What's with the back of County's shirts? Looks like someone's tried to colour them in with a felt tip pen that's running out.
