everyone goes on about the overrated Will Grigg chant that caught fire. But I remember the original Stevenage version which was much better as it fitted the song more. (Freeman's on fire, your right back is terrified).
I'll ignore your classic anthems for now. I think Man Utd's 'Spirit in the Sky' effort is a great effort. Bradford had a terrific song about Andy Booth which doesn't bear repeating, as did Arsenal about Adebayor.
Citeh had a good one about Sun Jihai, but again it was a bit racially stereotyping despite being harmless in most people's eyes.
I think my favourite for simplicity was Chelsea's Frank Labeouf song. The popular "he's here, he's there, he's every bleeping where" was sang, until Labeouf revealed he didn't like the song as he though swearing was crass. Next home game? "He's here, he's there, we're now allowed to swear, Frank Labeouf, Frank Labeouf." Fabulous.
Worst for me would be one of those generic ultra songs made famous by the might of Accrington and Aldershot and popularised by Palace and Wednesday.
The worst has to be "that's the way we like it" song. Cringed the day Millers sang it.
