my first game at Luton I went with my dad,
I can recall it was an evening game under the lights I was just a little lad.
it was a reserve game against St Albans and the crowd was a few hundred at best,
I couldn't see much over the barriers so my dad held me to his chest .
the first time I pushed through the turnstiles and walked under the grandstand,
has remained in my memory as we walked to our spot hand in hand.
over the past 50 years there's been a mixture of highs and lows,
from winning a cup final at Wembley in front of a world wide crowd,
to getting relegated to the conference-don't remember feeling quite so proud.
Luton Town FC is in my blood and causing through my veins,
they win they draw they lose but my support never wains.
only us supporters of our hometown team,
can fully appreciate that we share the same dream.
so come on you lot and tell us the reason why,
you support the team you do until the day you die??

my first game ( SALTIRE)
i remember waking up excited in anticipation very early in the morning, it was a cold and frosty morning if i remember correctly, i had dreamt of this day all week and it was finally here

i was quickly dressed and remembered to put on my Liverpool scarf not forgetting my 100+ badges, i picked up my rattle and went into the garage to pick up my banner for the game ........... i had made it the week before when we won a match,

i waived goodbye to my dad who had to go to work and would miss the game, i was really upset as he had worked the weekend before too

just then i got hungry and ate a bowl of sugarpuffs in the kitchen and 3 Rocky bars, washed it down with a can of iron brew

so i set off, i soon past the island in the kitchen, quickly stepped over the cat, i had a sort of skip in my step that day....... slipped past the dining room table........... waived my sister through doorway as she got there first.........always had manners me.....i entered the living room and there it was........








the most beautiful armchair i had ever seen

the match was shit and the batteries went flat on the remote so i went upstairs for wank at half time

I became a City fan because Uri Geller and Michael Jackson were fans. Plus Russell and Lewis had promised that we were signing premiership superstars like Lee Sharpe. Worth the 2 quid entry price for him alone! Not to mention getting to touch the hallowed turf where the bent spoon was buried.

I grew up in a house where no one watched football, I got interested in 86 from the panini stickers, watched footie on tv and got hooked, wanted to watch a Bristol side so my auntie said my cousin would take me too city, my mums friend offered Rovers. Went to city disliked my cousin, hated his six fingered mates more. Went to Rovers, loved Twerton and being on top of the pitch, holding on to the fences listening to Goodnight irene, and it just seemed more me, so I became a gashead. Best decision ever, would rather watch conference football than watch the unwashed, tax dodgers toy across the river.

Because where I lived was closest to Brisbane Road, infrastructure is set up to get there easier as well.

My uncle didn't like football, so it was the only place I could go to stop him fondling me. It turned out he wasn't actually my uncle, but that's another story. Thankfully he died shortly after I turned 46, and I haven't had to go to another game since.

I was taken by my uncle to watch Wycombe v Newport in The FA Cup at Loakes Park when i was 13 (1973) and have stayed with them ever since. Obviously we were non league back then but i loved it. Wycombe being my local team for 25 years before i moved to Somerset why would i support anyone else?

Well, this is an interesting story...

The religious group I went to when I was around 6/7 was given 50 free tickets, making the 3 years I had spent going there completely worth it (I'd been shamelessly forced to go by my parents.. The free food was good though).

So we left for the ground and got there around 7.15, took our seats in the South Stand (which at this point was an uncovered stand behind one of the goals). It was sort of magical... The floodlights, watching football in person for the first time and managing to get an autograph out of Jason Puncheon.

The game finished 1-1, with Notts County and Barnet both scoring quickly after the break. Not that I'd remember, my dad sent me to the food stall to get him a cup of coffee, meaning I missed both goals (the wanker). I may have almost fell head-first over the top of the South Stand, but I was hooked - however crap the football on show was, however crap the atmosphere was and however small the attendance was, there was something about watching football under the lights at Underhill was special.

That was in 2007, mind. 8 seasons of shite and 1 decent season later, I am still here.

Wouldn't change my small little team for the world.

I follow my traditional non league side because it makes me piss my pants when we out play, frustrate and humiliate you "big" boys who are also down here in the lower reaches of the English pyramid.

Ok this is quite a long one. When I was about 5 my dad took me to my first football match, it was just up the road from where I lived but I had no idea of who the teams were at the time, one team played in green and the other in gold. Id never heard of a team playing in green and the only team I knew that played in gold colours was wolves.

I don't remember much of the actual game other than barely being able to see through a sea of legs but afterwards decided I would support Wolves which was a fair bit of a shock to my Spurs supporting dad so I said I'd support Spurs as well. Sadly my dad passed away while I was a kid and that first match he took me to remains one of my strongest memories of him 40 years later.

10-12 years on and a few mates at school mention a local team called Barnet who where playing really well and might get promoted to the league so I went along to watch a game. I was born in Barnet, lived my whole life in the area of the London Borough of Barnet (fairly close to the Hive ) but had no idea where Barnet was. I was surprised to find they played in the same colours as the team I'd seen with my dad and a bit of research made me realise that I'd actually been taken to see Hendon v Barnet at Hendons Claremont road ground. From that point on I really had no choice as to which team I supported.

I'm a bit of a glory supporter .. My first game was Hartlepool at home, believe we won 2-0, 2003/04 season, I was 6. My second game was the 2-0 QPR game which made us champions. Been a season ticket holder now for 11 years! First away game was Wolves, think we lost 1-0, sticking Micky Evans up front all game really didn't work. That was 04/05 season

What sold this life for me was when I asked Lee Harrison for his gloves. The following home match he brought me a pair out, found me on the East Terrace and handed me them.
