Yea, I realize that does look a bit sketchy but I'm gonna be around a lot so it doesn't matter, just wait and see I suppose.

I'm hoping for a win, but it won't be easy. Harriers are on good form with 5 wins from our last 6 games and the best defensive record in the league, but you have recently beaten the current top 2 - Fylde and Harrogate - keeping clean sheets against both.

I've been lurking for a while, and I saw one of this guy's videos last week, subbed to his channel so it was a surprise to run into him here. Final straw that pushed me into becoming active.

Know how it looks though, just wait and see is all I can say.

Having been to Merthyr Town I seriously doubt that it's current capacity is 10,000 or that they have 1500 seats. Probably no-one has changed the ground capacity online. For years our 'official' capacity was 7032, it was on our website as such, on various Football ground websites and Wikipedia. However in 2011 when we drawn to play Notts County in the FA Cup (and thus expecting a larger than normal crowd) it was revealed our capacity was actually 5013

I've never been to Penydarren Park, but the pictures I have seen made me slightly surprised about the capacity - I struggle to believe that it holds 10,000!

It's not very clear, some sources say 14,061, others say 10,000, there is also a local news article from around 3 years ago stating the capacity at "over 10,300". Unless I get it confirmed, i'll go with 10,300.

Twinned with Clockhouse Way, Braintree, as the original homes of Bog Snorkeling?

I dunno what you want me to say here, I'm not trying to be dramatic, just trying to defend myself against allegations of me being an alt account. :/

The 2 end terraces were bulit to hold 4000 each, while the 2 side stands have 2000 and 3500 seats. Health and safety restrictions means the end terrace capacities are limited to about 2000 each. The 10,000 we took to Wembley as a Conference North side shows what the potential is.

I think the capacity was supposed to be around 10,000 (10,061?) when they had 6,200 for our play-off semi-final in 2014. That feels about right.

No, Merthyr is more of a Football town. The old Merthyr Town played there in the league and there a few Southern League grounds that are big. Even now I'd say the ground could fit in 6000+ (big side terrace and big terrace behind one goal) but not 10,000. Maybe 20+ years ago

It's huge to be fair. Probably not allowed to get that many in now but you'd get 1000 in the small covered stand behind a goal. Easily 3,000 on the open away end, There's a massive covered side terrace- easily 5,000+, 2 other uncovered terraces in the corners (think it used to resemble an oval sort of shape like Sutton). That's probably another 1000+ and then a main stand which is near 1,000. That's 11k or more. 10,000 would easily get in there but surprised H&S hasn't limited it further due to facilities, turnstiles etc

York Street when rebuilt in the early 80s was given a capacity of 15,000. Hardly changed since yet now it's about 6,700

It is a big stadium, however in comparison (eg. The Shay - capacity 10,300) - The Shay looks huge compared to Penydarren Park, so makes me question whether it holds 10,000. Yes, Penydarren Park has fewer seats which will affect the overall capacity (seats take up more space than standing), but Twerton Park, Bath is a similar sort of stadium to Penydarren Park - but has a smaller capacity - and actually looks bigger to me.
