Signs for Pools...With all due respect to Mansfield fans,,,, what planet does your manager live on to let a footballer like that leave? I can only suspect he has no plans to alter your style of play

In L1 we frowned upon individual players getting their own threads, come on. It's Rakish Bingham not Messi - Confirmed Signings thread and next time I'll release the Secret Mod Police force to hand out severe beatings.

He's just been released by Mansfield ffs, he might be good but he's hardly going to tear the league apart.

Bingham is nothing special and I can't see him scoring anymore than 10 over the course of the season.

What's Hartlepools obsession with him? If he'd have stayed as back up I'd have been okay with it but I didn't want to be relying on him week in week out.

Firstlty, forgive me for the thread title, I was unaware of the rule, I'm a newbie ( an award winning one at that! ) , although technically I could have got around the title; secondly, no he's not as good as Hughill, and finally , yes ,a mediocre player signs for a mediocre club, but I'm excited, and isn't that what being a league 2 fan is all about?

We've just got shot of Harewood and before that Howard, who between them scored 6 or 7 goals from almost 100 games..... it won't take much to improve on that! Besides , Ronnie has got him to form a partnership, not to be an out and out striker

Harewood was the game-changer against us, he was brilliant. Must've been a one-off though.

Who's the other striker in the partnership?

No, it absolutely is not. I've not been a League 2 fan for a few years so I'm still getting back into the groove but from memory, it's about being a sad joyless individual who resents the very existence of their club, and instead of enjoyment, uses the weekly matchday as a vehicle for hatred and anger. You laugh at, cry about and abuse your c***-y players who prance around on Social Media pretending they're #ballers but really are all a year or two away for getting found out as the charlatans they are before becoming part-timers. Eventually you either wilt away and drop down to non-league which is a fate worse than spending an eternity with Hades, you get promoted into League 1 before realising that's the very best it'll ever get and thus depressing yourself more...or worst of all you just spend time in footballing purgatory - years and years in this cesspool of tinpot basement clubs and fans desperately trying to pretend their club matters one iota in the grand scheme of the sport and that other people have ever spent more than 1 second of their lives thinking about Luton or something.

TL;dr version - League 2 is shite, you will never be happy.

This is worth a thread? He's a young lad with a bit of potential and a few goals to his name.

Well i'm happy with Bingham.Yes he only scored 1 in 5,but it was his overall link up play with the rest of the players which impressed me.
We won 4 out of the 5 games he played & we actually started scoring.
He's miles better than the dogshit we've been used to.
And no,he's not better than Hughill.

Surely Rakish Bingham deserves an entire subforum.

I don't get the hard on you Hartlepool lot have for him. He scored 1 in 5 didn't he? He's a young player with abit of potential but that's all. He didn't get games here because before his loan he was shite, bar his first 3/4 games and then when he came back he had a role coming off the bench. He wouldn't of worked in a system where we only had 1 up top because we needed 5 in midfield because our defence were shit.

Not sure why this gets it's own thread. Jesus wait until someone actually makes a quality signing!

Have I been imagining Hartlepool for all this time? I thought it sounded like a funny place name...
Hartlepool has always been seen as a solid fact to me, though the teaching of Hartlepool in schools is considered controversial in some more conservative parts of the world.

Considering Bingham doesn't deserve a thread of his own, plenty of people are chipping in, even if it is to say they shouldn't be chipping in

2020: Bingham, 26, fired Carlisle into the Premier League having been bought for £10 million in 2019 as a direct replacement for Neymar.

My planned contributions to this thread involved a Cornish Monkey Sanctuary and/or Machu Pichu and/or Fur Traders Descending the Missouri. I never recognised him as a potential leading goal scorer but maybe he has been played out of position recently - or perhaps I should just return to Rangers v Hibs.

Rated by our fans, got a lot of potential and his pace is enough to cause problems at this level. A bit disappointed to see him leave but not shocked, it was obvious he didn't fit into Murray's plans.
