Can't see a thread for this game, so I thought I'd start one.

Should get something from this, but seeing boro have beat us every time we have played them at the Lamex, including games in the Conferenece I am not so sure.

Surely it cant get any worse than losing to Barnet and Cambridge in back to back games...?

Yes it can, 2-0 Mansfield. :(

We're shite but so is 90% of the division, and we always have half a chance when playing at home so I'm going to be optimistic and predict a win.

Could do with Parrett and Ogilvie returning though.

Great start to the second half. Defending absolutely woeful. We're absolute wank.

Sounded like we were better from start to finish. Stevenage were always one of those poxy clubs we could never win at which never made any sense, tonight just sounded a walkover - though not at the game so will be stand corrected if need be.

To win 3 games away when we managed 2 (I think) last season is a fantastic effort

You did deserve it and it could have been more, worryingly your players looked like they wanted it more than ours. We looked like a team of strangers, and our performance reflected that. The two centre backs were comically bad, I genuinely never want to see the Hughes/McCombe combo again. Wells on the bench? Can't understand how he's not starting ahead of either of those two, starts the season well, given a new contract and he's dropped?

Only positive to take from tonight was the return of Ben Kennedy, he was a bright spark in side bereft of any creativity, lovely ball over the top for Dipo, a shame he couldn't make more of the opportunity.

I can't see how we're going to improve, I don't see any purpose, any energy or any creativity (aside from Kennedy) in our play. From what I've seen, Sheringham doesn't look capable of turning things around, he doesn't even have an experienced coach on board to offer advice, hope I'm wrong but I can't see things improving any time soon.

Thought we were going to be in for a long night when Jenson had to pull off a good save after about 40 seconds.

First half was quite even, Think Stevenage had the better of the few chances either side created with the one Jenson saved and one off the line just before HT. Second half though there was only one team in it. Jack Thomas was fantastic, He was everywhere. Pearce and Taff look stronger every game. Disappointed Greeny didn't score as he had 2 chances where he probably should have. He needs a goal or 2 to get his confidence back. If we can get him firing we could be really dangerous but it's not happening for him at the moment!
