personal grudge match this for me, can't fucking wait for this one, got a premier inn in the city centre booked for the weekend :woot:

sounded like we played Forest of the park in the first half so you have to take the positives, a point away from home isn't to be snubbed either. I would accept a point as well, 0-0 would do me.

Maxwell
Vermijl Baptiste Clarke Wright Cunningham
Johnson Pearson
Mcgeady
Hugill robinson

Due a win against this bunch. Is Cunningham playing defensive mid or formations just showing weird on my phone?

Johnson has got to stop fannying around with selection and play the best team. At the moment I think its something like this, if Fielding is injured:
ODonnell
Matthews Flint Magnuson Golbourne
ONeill Reid
Freeman Tomlin Paterson
Abraham

Lucic in posession of the reserve place should Fielding be injured. O'Neil has a hamstring tear so he's not featuring.

Lucic
Matthews Flint Hordur Goldbourne
Freeman Reid Pack Paterson
Abraham Engvall*
*Engvall playing just behind Tammy to be able to pick up balls, also give De Girolamo a place on the bench.

Not usually pessimistic but I don't fancy our chances here. Grayson's Preston have always got the better of us. We'll have most of the ball, miss several good chances and concede from a dodgy back pass or something.

I'd go with TTOCS's team except with O'Dowda for Paterson, who's been a bit ineffectual really. You could say the same for O'Dowda but he's had less of a chance and would also offer more natural width as opposed to Paterson who looks in cut inside all the time into the space Tomlin and Reid will be filling

Shame that fraud Cotterill has gone, Grayson had him toast every time.

Can't see us getting anything more than a point at best, far too much attaching quality about Bristol City. Wish we had even half their budget.

Would hope we've enough about us to get a point especially with the form Bristol City are in.

Hope Pearson's fit otherwise we'd be too lightweight in midfield.

This negativity worries me, I prefer playing teams whos fans are confident.

I'll go for another score draw in this one, both teams missing too many chances.

Can I ask why? Our 2 clubs usually get on extremely well.

I just cant see how we are going to win any of our games at the moment. Too many players are out of form and prone to silly mistakes, our squad lacks cohesion due to constant chopping and changing and there will be an atmosphere of negativity and pressure on Saturday. Draw at the very best I think, if we can scrape a win I will be amazed and delighted. Festive joy indeed, merry christmas everybody!! :D

Supposed to be in with a chance of making this one, was a bang to the leg rather than a muscle injury.

Our midfield is considerably weaker without him, especially without Welsh and Gallagher to provide some experience.

We're getting by quite well considering we've been without senior players such as the two above, plus Beckford's constant absence and McGeady's niggling injuries, not to mention Woods being out for the season.

As ever Preston turn up to the Gate with a much weaker team on paper, a fair smackering of our rejects, a league one strikeforce...

As ever they'll have 30% possession, 20% of the chances and still win. 0-1 again.

In what way is our team weaker on paper? I would pick our strongest defence and keeper over yours any day of the week, same with midfield. Abraham would improve us massively as he knows how to stick the ball in the net from a couple of yards out but apart from that I'd rather have our team.

Que a pasting for us today now.

I find myself agreeing with you yet again. After our excellent start, it's very depressing. :(
Ah well, COYR.
0-1.

We've conceded less than your "shithouse" back line

And our league one strikeforce has scored more than your wonderkid :2thumb:. We had a shocking start to the season defensively however since Maxwell come in we've looked a lot more solid.

How many players are you actually combining to come up with that figure?

Anyway, it's a pointless discussion. We have attacking quality in the side to reflect the amount of money we've spent compared to you but look vulnerable in several areas. I'd happily take Maxwell, Pearson, Johnson and Cunningham back here.

Nowt really in it and you'll beat us today, as always.

Callum Robinson under Grayson is also a completely different player to the one you had under Cotterill, he's been brilliant this season.

Hopefully Mcgeady can get over these niggly injuries aswell because on his day he's too good for this league.

You wouldn't take Baptiste over Matthews/Little?
Matthews is one of the best full backs in the league when he's fit but he hasn't been fit up until the last couple of games, and when he isn't fully fit he looks like a pub player.

Haven't really seen much of Baptiste but you lot rate him so yeah I guess I'd have him here.

I'm not strongly arguing our squad is stronger than yours tbh, I think we have some better individuals but you're a well rounded unit and are above us on merit.
