What is there not to look forward to with the prospect of a proper Saturday 3 p.m football match at Barnwell's own Theatre of Dreams? To quote Marcus Rojo: “The experience was very beautiful. I liked playing in Cambridge with all of their fans around a small field and being next to the people that were supporting us. It was cold and it was windy, but I liked it very much.”

Optimistic (but not confident) for a 3-1 win with home debuts for Morrissey, Hunt and (from the bench) Gaffney. Hope Simpson is up for leading the line again. After this, squad, staff and directors (and some fans) are heading for a mini-break in the SW, with matches at Exeter and Plymouth before we return for Portsmouth at the Abbey on 21/2.

With a bit of luck, we might just manage our 9th 5,000 plus gate of the season. I think that our highest league gates last year were Luton (6,050), Braintree on Boxing Day (4,194) and Nuneaton (3,740) after a 10 game unbeaten start to the season.

Think we will rotate a bit with 3 games this week and having had a fairly busy back half of January, although I think we really missed the opportunity to do that against Dagenham and it cost us. Wycombe are on a good unbeaten run but aren't scoring many, we were excellent throughout the first 4 games of January but then poor against Dagenham and absolutely atrocious first half at Luton, redeeming ourselves in the second half, consistency not being our strong point, so I think it will largely depend on which Cambridge turn up.

It's a bit of a stupid thing to say but any result is possible in this one.

I'd take a draw tomorrow. We'll be a bit leggy after Tuesday and the recent schedule and Wycombe are, frankly, quite good.

We are short on goals recently but our defence has only let in 1 goal in 6 games so has 0-0 written all over it.

Changes will be made I'm Guessing but trying to guess which ones is like picking the scoop 6.

Donaldson has been looking pretty darn tired the last 3 games but he does give us that little extra in that final third of the pitch, also defensively we have a better shape, I think he'll start but not last the 90, Elliot will start and the defence picks it self, it's just the others where I struggle to pick a lineup, many people are saying about giving hunt a go but I'm unsure about him, just hope he doesn't do a marvin Robinson.

Fair play mate, every side plays to it's strengths and it's the points that count. Feeling a tad disappointed but not surprised, as frankly I was expecting a defeat today. More disappointed with some of the refereeing today, especially the Pierre foul on Elliott and the penalty shout we had, but I'll reserve judgement til' I see the highlights.

In fairness, Dicky Dosh's football is direct and dire when you aren't winning or scoring from set pieces.

Surprised by Wycombe, but fair play to them - they generally have been strong in league 2 for about a decade now.

In the words of that joke, "fu the huck are you?!" I didn't realise you'd seen us play so much this season....

I don't care about teams playing direct football but come on, 3rd in the league against a team knacked after Old Trafford on Tuesday and we're subjected to time wasting from the 1st minute. Wycombe didn't come for a win, it was embarrassing.

I've seen you play against United and the only time you looked threatening was from set pieces..just like DD at Luton, just like DD at Walsall. It's not a criticism, it's just a different style of play - but it isn't fun to watch when you aren't winning. He will never change and he shouldn't it's been relatively successful for him.

As for your bolded point, fair enough - I hate it when teams time waste against Walsall, but they won and they are 2nd in the league table as we approach mid February...their fans will take it, as would I.

If you really think the Man Utd games bore any resemblance to how we usually play then you are obviously wrong - I'm sorry if you expected us to be expansive and attacking against them but I think a more measured approach was probably sensible.....

I don't disagree they've done well to land themselves there but their approach is very questionable, very short-termist and time wasting is a form of cheating which fortunately I have not seen my team resort to under Mr Dosh. To do it at 0-0 was laughable.

Sorry Cambridge fans but i've just seen the goal and have to ask what the fook were your defence and keeper doing letting that in? Even Ephraim will know he didn't mean that but as we've struggled lately i'll happily take it. We're 5 points above Luton in 4th with a better goal difference but they have a game in hand which they must win. As saddlerad said we Wycombe fans never dreamed we'd be where we are after last seasons near relegation which would have meant no more Wycombe Wanderers as i know them we'd have had to start again probably in The Conference South.

The goal we conceded was indeed woeful, the sending off was just stupid by the young lad, but everything said above about Wycombe and the referee is spot on. Wycombe were an odious, negative team, challenging Morecambe for the anti-football championship, but I have to admit they were well organised, and I would think well versed in winning games in this manner. The referee was beyond redemption, there isn't enough cast iron in the world to describe how blatant a penalty that was, as Simpson was simply hauled to the ground, and the failure to give a free kick and certain red card against Pierre in the first half was simply ridiculous. Its a shame really, as the contrasting styles made for an entertaining and compelling game in the first half, before Wycombe's tactics and the referee completely spoiled the game. Unfortunately I think Wycombe may well get promoted as there is so little real class in this league, and consistency will get you everywhere no matter how negative and spoiling your tactics.

Two games in a row he's been immature and stupid - what has Money done to him?
Supposedly its a done deal with him coming back here anyway.

We've had 3 players sent off in 2 seasons before this. 2 of them were for 2 yellows (Donaldson and Simpson) of which both sendings off were soft. Thr other was Tom Naylor on his debut against Luton, and today's was another player who hasn't been with us for long and has obviously been trained to kick people by his previous coaches.

I'm trying to reserve judgement on his sending off today as I didn't see it at the time so waiting for highlights. Others on our board are saying there was a bit of pushing and shoving at a corner, he put his foot out lightly (but stupidly) and the keeper rolled around like he'd been shot in typical Wycombe style. But let's wait to see what the highlights picked up.

Although I didn't see the incident as did most people, reports suggest that Wycombe Kepper, Ingham, gave him a whack while they were waiting for a corner to be delivered, and McGeeghan responded with a little kick out, resulting in the kepper going down like he had been felled by a sniper! Hopefully we will see clearer on TFL Show tonight. Prior to that he had had another good game linking up play and offering himself as a second striker to Elliott. He has apparently tweeted saying his loan spell is now over, seems he cant get to Luton quick enough if you believe the conspiracy theories. It seems he has fallen out with the development squad management at Norwich and wants away. I would be amazed if Norwich didn't ask for a hefty fee as the lad clearly has talent, but it might explain why Norwich don't want to keep him if the right offer comes in.

Andy we have been well organized at the back all season, we keep the same 4 in defence unless one is suspended which is hard as we have such a small squad due to the fact we're skint. Having only let in 1 goal in 7 games shows just how good our defenders and keeper are compared to last season when we were the whipping boys for any team that put us undewr pressue but the new players Jombati, Jacobson and Mawson and keeper Matt Ingram have been outstanding since the opening day of thne season.

I really liked the look of Jombati, looked very cool under pressure, had a good touch and got forward quickly. Please don't ask to comment on Ingham!

Not surprised he wants to leave Norwich - he's nowhere near the first team; all they were doing was stifling his development by rejecting very decent offers in the summer. Supposedly a fee has been agreed between the two clubs and he'll join permanently in the summer, with him joining on loan (now after his suspension). He certainly hasn't been trained to kick people here.

Having now seen it, Cameron made the referee make a decision.

But what Matt Ingram did was scandalous frankly, but unfortunately that is football these days.

The keeper was a cheat but McGeehan was stupid and I hope he never plays for us again. That behaviour is completely contradictory to our whole philosophy and he's got no place in our squad doing that sort of thing.

This is all very odd McGeehan wasn't anything like that here, against us last week he was flying around and having a go at officials and now putting himself in a silly position the next week. Clearly has had a bit of change of attitude since last season where if anything he was a bit tepid.

Unfortunately the highlights didn't show the penalty incident but the red card was just plain stupid, yes the keeper stepped on his foot but come on, show a bit of savvy, the ref had no other choice but to show the red, it didn't need the two Wycombe players running up to the ref and the keeper to go down like he'd been shot though.

Piss poor goal to concede and it's been far to many like that this season for my liking, dickie finally needs to address this issue as it's getting tedious.

As for mcgeehan, whoever gets him will get a decent player and I'm sure he'll do well, I have no angst against him or Luton so good luck I say, I certainly won't be pissed off because if there's a fight between cambridge and Luton for a player there's only ever going to be one winner, we can't compete with the level of finance of Luton and I'm almost certain we can't get close to Norwich valuation of him, that's without wages, which is a lot for a 19yr old if what I've been told is true.

To be fair we can't get anywhere near Norwich's original (rumoured) valuation either. *If* (and I'm still very skeptical) we do have a permanent deal lined up, it would without doubt have to involve Norwich reducing their valuation by 75% or more. I think our price range is £100-£150k at max these days.

I think to be honest that the CUFC goalie must either have been unsighted by the wall or the shot must have had a bit of curve on it, I was there and couldn't fathom why the goalie didn't even bother to dive until it was too late, it was like, "ah, what a crap shot, that's never going to go...oh. Bollocks".
