This could well be a cricket score. We have alot of "injuries" and our squad hasn't been paid. :dk:

After so long in not playing you lot it's a shame we'll be losing you so soon, always a good rivalry but without the NAWTYNESS that others perhaps have. Since tommy Taylor left for you there's always been an edge to the games and I'll miss them.

I have no idea what united team will turn up so no predictions from me this week.

Came in here to laugh at that also.

I do think that not getting paid is part and parcel of working in lower league football - Northampton last season, Morecambe this and I think on most occasions downing tools isn't the most appropriate thing to do - but I think we're a completely exceptional basket case where it's justified.

The two of you beat me to it!

The roles will be reversed from 2003 when we won 4-1 at the Abbey and Cambridge had to play a makeshift team that day.

I obviously want us to win tomorrow but it will feel hollow frankly. The least enjoyable game of the season for me. :-(

On the back of this information for only the 5th time in 13 years I've bet on the U's, to win overcoming a reasonably sized handicap, I've lost on every one of the previous 4 occasions so we are now guaranteed to absolutely humiliate ourselves.

Same team I want to win every week. Whoever's playing Orient.

Not long now until we can pop those champagne corks.
Why? Have you learnt how to troll people properly? ;)

Just had a look at that Cambridge team from that day, Three future O's in there as well! Although two would have only been 20 at the time - Tudor and Tann.

Stuart Bimson  He had zero technical ability, every time he got the ball, WACK! It went long!

That Orient side. Three players who predominantly played right back in their career, two left backs, two centre backs... Jeeze.

Wow, what irascible wit.

PS: I don't have a sister.

To be honest, Readie, you shouldn't be trying to use words like "irascible" when you don't know what they mean. Bless you for trying, though.

You really do have no idea do you? I know what the word karma means though.

At least you've learnt to right click and scroll down to 'synonyms'. Good work buddy!

As for the game, Cambridge -2 is 3/1 with bet365.

£20 on, surely some easy money.

Hopefully the Orient players are doing the same so they can recoup some of their unpaid wages.

Does it bother you that you only get to read about our relegation and have no part in it, whereas we got to dance on your pitch, piss on your nan, and slap Mr Whippy's from the hands of the chubby oxford children?

It would bother me...

There are Oxford fans planning something special for your relegation day which goes way beyond just writing about it…………….

Oh and by the way, your last comment is exactly why you losers deserve everything that's coming to you shortly.

Thank f*ck for the Ignore button.

All we need is for you kind folks to stop responding to him on this thread and we can get on with a bit of empathising and nostalgia.

Normally tolerant, thanks to the half decent Cobblers fans on the forum but I hope the Blades put 6 past their opposition today.

Best wishes to Orient fans, win, lose or draw this afternoon.

My thoughts were also going back but in my case to April 2005. We staged a cracking 1-0 win at Irthlingborough (30/4) and had quite a party as we already knew it was all over. I'd only started following the U's a couple of seasons before so, despite the mixed feelings, it was one of the few positive memories from those days. Danny Webb was on the bench. We were so low that Bimmo was at the start of his path to near legendary status, if only for his pasty faced, Colina style, baldy head.

John Ruddy
Warren Goodhind,
Andy Duncan, Adam Tann, Matt Somnerhttp://www.11v11.com/players/tom-newey-20176/
Tom Newey, Ashley Nicholls, Ciaran Toner
Tes Bramble, Daniel Chillingworth, Iwan Roberts

Subs:
John Turner for Tes Bramble 54
Stuart Bimson for Tom Newey 60
Dan Gleeson for Daniel Chillingworth 68

Unused subs: Danny Webb and Darren Quinton

We could have done with some of those forward options this season......although perhaps not quite on the form they were showing in 2004.

I was going to a different game, but given I'm still hobbling I didn't fancy navigating rail replacement services... So instead I'm in bed. Good morning Vietnam.

Lol the line up.
