High flying Crewe travel north to play stuttering Carlisle. 5 games unbeaten in all competitions but we've had a couple of draws recently, albeit Vs tough opposition (away at Cheltenham with 10 men, home Vs Exeter) it's nice to have a fully fit squad though for this game and no suspensions. Just Jaaskelainen away with Finland.

I'm going this game, Carlisle has always been one of favourite away days, £16 return on the train aswell so happy days.

Richards

Ng Nolan Hunt Pickering

Jones Wintle Lowery

Powell Porter Kirk

Carlisle 1-2 Crewe (Mckirdy, Porter, Lowery) 4,566 (510 Railwaymen)

Probably a combination of the two, but with Exeter pressing so high up the pitch and Hunt struggling at full-back, I will be glad to see NG back in the side. So much forward play starts from him. Got a feeling Artell will favour Lancashire over Hunt, but the Nolan/Hunt partnership is the strongest. Apart from that the team picks itself and Powell deserves a recall after his 30 mins last week, caused Exeter all kinds of problems.

Can't really comment too much on Carlisle but they look like they have two or three players who are capable of getting a result. I think we will continue to remain unbeaten in a 1-1 draw. (Scougall, Porter - 4,704)

We’ve played most of the teams at the top already, and failed every single time. Saturday will be no different. Crewe will run out comfortable winners.

Games like that aren't going to decide whether we stay up or not, we’re expected to lose these games as we’re simply no where near good enough to compete with teams like Crewe, Newport Swindon, Cheltenham etc. We seem to be getting our few points against the other teams down the bottom.

Looking forward to seeing what bollocks Artell comes out with after this one. At least if he's spouting nonsense though then it means we probably won it. He isn't as entertaining when Crewe win.

Don't expect anything from the game though we may spring a surprise, we should really have beaten Newport and at 11v11 were the better team against Bradford, so we're not getting rolled over every time against these teams.

Given our next 4 after this one, we really could be doing with winning this. We've dealt with the bottom half teams relatively well so far, won all 4. Would be great to make this number 5.

I'll take whatever win I can get, but it'd be nice to do it comfortably, get the confidence really high ahead of the 2 games against Swindon and Colchester.

This has been the worst display I've seen from us in a long time. The atmosphere in the terraces is predictably toxic now with sarcastic whoops from the home fans whenever we make a mistake.

The difference between the 2 teams in that first half was vast. All too easy. Hopefully 2 should be enough, but would like a third to really kill the game off. Delighted Powell is off the mark, makes me laugh he buries a difficult chance like that but has been fluffing sitters for weeks. Can't complain though, bullet of a finish. Nicky Hunt scoring too.

Now Ng is the only one of the starting XI without a goal(keeper aside of course).

It's time for Pressley to leave the building.

Terrible first 20 minutes in the 2nd half, far too lax in the play, came out like the game was won. Credit to Carlisle for their fightback, but felt they pushed too hard too early and ran out of steam with 20 minutes to go. Meant the mistakes crept in and we eventually emerged comfy and deserved winners.

Felt a few were carried today, notably Kirk, Green and Ng. Felt all 3 were pish. The rest were decent for the most part. Felt for Richards, didn't do much wrong and yet conceded 2.

This is shaping up to be a classic Crewe team, firepower for days, but poor at the back. 3 tough games and then the Vale next up. Let's see how they hang with the other promotion contenders.

Diabolical. The worst home performance in a long long time.

Pressley has got to be sacked now.

Brilliant away day, 4-2 win, some nutter put £300 behind the bar at half time so bagged a free beer.

1st half we were sensational, Carlisle barely had a kick and couldn't get near us. Great goal by Powell, hopefully that does him the world of good. Start of the 2nd half was a mixture of us being slow and Carlisle pushed up the pitch abit and actually tried to pressure us, but didn't last long and we found another gear.

Top of the league, train delayed for over an hour, so back in the pub but don't care one jot.

Don’t want to burst your bubble of joy but You weren’t sensational at all. No disrespect, you didn’t need to be anything close to sensational. We were just so lazy and pathetic that anyone would have found it easy against us, it was like a slow paced training session for you, as easy as you’ll get, your players hardly needed to break sweat, and we gave away 2 of the softest goals anyone will see. The second was utterly abysmal from us, all be it a very good finish by your player.

You can say dick. It’s ok.
Just trying to be polite, but thanks bro, hope you scrape yourself to safety this year, league 2 needs The Cumbrians. Wouldn’t be the same if you went back to the national league and had to stay there again.

HG is right though, I don't think Crewe were 'sensational'. It was a well deserved win but we were dreadful and Crewe merely 'decent'. They did the little things right all game, didn't make mistakes and got their win.
