Champions League 2017/18 prediction game

Hey there,

what do you think about a Champions League prediction game for next season with two other forums from Germany and Austria? Could you imagine to compete with users from Germany and Austria? They`ve been organizing this project for four years now and they want to invite a third forum to this prediction tournament.

How does it work?

-The best 10 predictors of your forum getting qualified for this tournament. As far as i can see, you guys have a prediction tradition, so it is up to you, who you want to send for this competition.
-No registration to any other forum. The tournament would take place on your own forum.
-Each matchday a thread would be opened here, where you can post your predicts. This thread would contain a link to the German and Austrian forum, where you can see the predictions of your opponents.
-You are acting like a team manager. You have to choose 4 games each matchday, from which you think, you could score most of the points. Your oppenent does the same.
-After the matchday, those with me most points, win the match and get the 3 points.
-It is like the real CL-Mode. After group stages, it turns to KO-rounds.

What´s your opinion?

P.S: Sorry for my English. It`s been a while since my year abroad in England =)

Maybe some Mod could transfer this thread in the proper section before the ManU Fans here are moaning and are going to be angry because next year they are still without Champions League (and telling us here that they don't give a shit ) /i

To answer your former question. I am a "Deutsch-Türke", born and raised in Germany, who has studied one semester in Leeds and became a Liverpool-Fan during that time. I have been three times at Anfield Road and was also a Member for one season. As a history teacher, Bismarck is my historical idol, not for all his attitudes, but for some special behaviours, which he had in his lifetime =D

You could "update your status" and mention this thread (it will be shown on the right side of the mainpage under "New Profile posts"
But, as said before, I doubt that there is enough interest in it.
I personally, like the idea to compete with other forums.
The Champions league isn't the main-attraction here (like the international football per se). It's mainly PL and the other 3 Leagues plus the Non-League Football.

Well, the project is meant to be a reward for all members, who had a good season in PL. Just like in the real, if your team is on the top places at the end of the season, you get qualified for the CL. So they don`t exclude each other.

(I've already make my point that I'm in. So I don't vote (I don't want to kick my fellow countrymen and not even the Austrians and I wouldn't vote "No". So add my "Yes" vote virtually )

It makes sense, but how does your system work if you say "by points"?

In our german Forum, we have one "Bundesliga", where every user has the lead of one Bundesliga-Club. As a teammanager, they have to predict every game of their team plus 3 more matches. Besides the Bundesliga, we also have a League-Cup (DFB-Pokal). The winner is also qualified for CL. And there is a normal Bundesliga-prediction game, where you have to predict all Bundesliga-Matches. As you can see. Every Forum has his own conditions, how a member is able to qualify for that tournament.
